I will begin by saying I ordered a disc wheel from this exact listing December of 2022, and THAT wheel was great/excellent, so most of the previous reviews on this page are probably from the previous model. My old disc wheel was damaged in transport last month so I ordered what I thought was the exact same wheel. How wrong I was.This new wheel has a extremely cheap hub, when I opened the box, the freehub body/ pawls and springs were all over the place (pic #1). I notified the seller and their response was “Take it to a bike shop”.Why would I take a NEW wheel to a bicycle shop for repair?! After a few more messages they agreed to send me new parts to install. After installation, the wheel is still terrible.Next I will add that I was a professional bicycle mechanic for 20yrs so I am experienced when comes to wheel lacing, building, and maintenance. This newer wheel has a horrible hub design. The cassette body & cassette slide off the axle once both are mounted properly (Pic #2).So as I travel with this disc in a wheel bag, the hub and pawls and springs will fall apart (just as I had originally received the wheel in the shipping box).If you are buying a disc wheel you are a serious time trialist or triathlete. Don’t risk your hard work and time training on this wheel, you’ll surely be disappointed with the product and service.
