Kokology: The Game of Self-Discovery Paperback – October 3, 2000

I’ve been into self discovery and bought this as an interesting thing to do. I’m very happy with it and I would recommend it! It’s most fun with my husband and I doing it together and we’ve learned a lot about each other, but it would be a fun way to liven up a get together as well. There is some type of story or narrative you read and then answer questions about. The book then explains what the questions and narrative are actually about. So not to give away anything in the book, say you read about a mountain climbing expedition and you reach the top of the mountain, the question may be who is there with you? And when you read about this scenario and answer the book may explain that the mountain climb was referring to struggles in your life and the person you saw with you is someone you consider reliable and stable. So it’s really fun to read the scenarios and discuss your answers and then find out more about your friends and what you truly think of people and friends and yourself. However, there are scenarios where it does link to sexual topics or answers you may give that might hurt someone’s feelings, so I wouldn’t use this with kids or coworkers unless you pre screened the questions to make sure they were appropriate

I purchased both Kokology books and must say I loved them both. Played with a group of coworkers and really good friends during vacation and we had a blast. What's funny is, the answers (well most of them) seemed spot on when we considered eachothers personalities. Lots of fun for parties, or just passing time with friends. I'd definitely recommend getting them. Great for ice breakers or even just getting to know people better. Have fun! :)

Love this book because it helps me get to know my friends and romantic interests better. Great for deep conversations. The only reason for 4 stars is some of the pages were bent inside upon arrival. Otherwise, a great book to have as a fun bonding activity.

This book is great to whip out at gatherings with good friends. You can learn more about one another. What's incredible is how accurate a lot of the assessments are. You'll find a lot of insight here, but only if you're honest enough with yourself to not hide things or change your answers at the last minute. A very worthwhile purchase.

Tried the second edition myself and had a blast playing along. I don’t advise playing this with other people, there can be some very personal info exposed. Obviously take everything with a grain of salt. Got this first addition for a friend who’s a bit of a narsassit so think she’ll love it 👌🏻

Great little book to learn about your friends and family. We all have had fun learning about our psychological natures, as long as people are honest with their answers.

Me and my sister really enjoyed doing these questions with one another and getting others involved for a few questions at a time. it was fun playing with my sister because she would say things like "yea heather that does sound alot like you" and then give me an example of how i fit the bill. haha.

Kokology intrigued me as a game because I love personality tests and I love to do them in groups. It's very fun to play with a group of honest friends who are willing to admit their flaws and pride, and although sometimes it's deadly accurate, sometimes it's totally off the mark. Unfortunately, Kokology /feels/ like pop psychology -- more than a little off base at times; and you can't count on it for accurate results. Nevertheless, we've had some great laughs with this game, and I think that in the right cultural context (we're a kooky bunch), this could be a most excellent party game. I definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys being surprised by the results of a self-test.
