it does need to be stopped down a couple of notches to achieve good results. Only minor complaint
Unlike most lens add-ons (adapters and converters) this mount adapter exceeds my expectations for maintaining image sharpness. However, it does need to be stopped down a couple of notches to achieve good results. Only minor complaint... it fits very tight and takes a bit of effort to attach and detach from camera body. Build quality seems good, but not sure I would trust using the supplied tripod adapter with a heavy telephoto lens. It's best removed, IMHO. Naturally, my wish would be that it maintained full automatic functionality. Having to use the camera in manual mode is reminiscent of the "good 'ol days," and not all that unpleasant... for a 'ol time photographer anyway.

I bought this for a G lens I returned so I had to return it as well as all my Nikon F mt. lenses did not need the G aperture ring but I agree with most reviewers here this one is high quality and endowed with bang for buck which is my top priority so as to own far more gear by saving on the total outlay for gear while receiving reliably good build quality for use in the field.

I've used my Zeiss 25 ZF. 2 on this ...
I've used my Zeiss 25 ZF.2 on this. On a critical shoot, I was wide open. There is zero chance you will get infinity focus with this lens.It was completely soft wide open. I ordered the Metabones instead.UPDATE****I can now honestly say this adapter has some sort of issue with Zeiss, which is odd. I borrowed a Nikon D750 and shot some test images with my lens attached directly to the camera, minus any adapter. The images look great. This adapter either has some flange distance issue, or it's somehow distorting the sharpness of my lenses. It has this aperture wheel on it which takes over the aperture ring on the actual lens, and I'm wondering if that's the issue. It's a completely unnecessary function of the adapter. Aperture rings on the lens work fine. Just waiting for my Metabones to arrive. Fingers crossed.I just can't in good faith recommend this adapter.

Quality is good!, One problem - in the description it sais Clickless, but it is not! Makes ''click'' every time you change the aperture. When you shot the video it will make noise. Ithere any trick to make it clickless ?

It's okay.....
Not really sure about this one. The adapter fits, but definitely not tight/secure. I have taken a few pics with it and I don't see any light bleeding through.........at the moment. Not too happy about the adapter not coming with front and rear covers/caps however, it works and since I don't have another to compare it to, I have to say all is well.
