Got this as a birthday gift, and it was perfect! The hinges are nice and so is the lining inside the box. Really solid little box, much better than I hoped coming from Amazon!Now holds a lot of random trinkets and rocks and things, very well loved! Will most likely last a long time, if you want it, it's definitely worth the price! The carving design is well done, and very pretty as well <3

I lived in Egypt, where the workmanship on wooden items was exquisite, and though this piece is not from Egypt, the workmanship is just as exquisite. The finished item is smooth to touch. The design is beautiful and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy from this. Company again.

The media could not be loaded. It’s a cute little box that inspired me to make a custom music box. Turned out great for my first prototype. The carvings on the box are great. Seems pretty sturdy and has good weight to it. I added the latch as a cosmetic measure and to secure it better. My only complaint is that the stain was over applied, rubs off on stuff for a bit, and it smells pretty strong. Be prepared to wipe it down with some dirty rags or paper towels for a bit when you get it.

Love this box it is really pretty and worth the money which was not pricey.

My experience with most carved boxes from India is that they warp, seem cheaply made, and do not close/open easily, plus sometimes if there is a felt lining, it is not quality. This one is different, a Pleasant surprise! The carving is beautiful, the box opens and closes very nicely, the red felt lining is in great shape, the hinges are not rusted. Very giftable and also nice to keep special objects in.

A very nice, precision, hand carved hardwood box. Perfect for a jewelry gift, which is what I bought it for. Heavy, which clearly indicates the effort in creating this beautiful little box, and it is good incentive for keeping it forever and passing it down.A small complaint though. There is no latching mechanism, though there need not be one for its intended use. Completely overlook-able. Would very much buy it again. Excellent!

Though the box is well made, it smells like gasoline very very stronge smell to this product and only when you open the box. Not sure what it is, but unless it airs out, I can not put anything in it.
