Marvellous entertainment in one movie
Very interesting with all the trimmings that go with an A grade plus show that will have you holding onto things with excitement not letting go for a minute. Different that has you thinking does this really happen well believe it or not but I would not be surprised if it didn't. A pick pocket on the run and well organized that makes you drool only if I could do the same, don't worry we are only dreamers that will never get rich and be the same old self. Fabulous acting by all with such a great storyline what else matters if your looking for first class entertainment. I could spoil it for you all but why do that a little bit of suspense doesn't hurt anyone. This movie has plenty of suspense and grit you won't have time for anything else so gather up the movie collect your munchies and relax with your feet up with a fantastic night of entertainment ahead of you. Enjoy!

Unfocused (sorry)
The concept of the grizzled elder master of the con who is seduced by a beautiful apprentice is literally as old as the hills, but to succeed it needs to nail two elements. First, there needs to be serious chemistry between the two leads - and Focus succeeds here. There's absolutely no question that Will Smith and Margot Robbie have chemistry - a fact that was not lost on the casting director of 'Suicide Squad' - and they give their all with the material they're presented with here. They both elevate the movie, and are without doubt the best thing about it. So a tick there then. The other element that has to be in place is a tight, intricate, yet believeable script that probes at your disbelief but never actually breaks it. Here, Focus largely fails. We're told that Smith is an amazing con artist; but when we're shown his capabilities, he wins through with plans that rely on so many moving parts they appear to be based more on luck than judgement. Every plot twist makes absolutely no sense when you stop and think about it, and in particular his grand plan at the end is a muddled mess that it would need at least another fifteen pages of script to form into a sensible scenario. There are (of course) a few twists, but you should see them coming; when they come, you'll stop and think "wait a minute, but if that's the case, then why did xyz happen earlier in the movie?". No answer will be forthcoming, because the writer is, frankly, hoping you didn't notice. This doesn't just relate to major plot points; whole scenes appear cut and pasted in without any real explanation as to why they could possibly be plausible. For example, a scene which would have looked great on the printed page, involving a brain-shy heavy buying some supplies then crashing his car, makes absolutely no sense when you switch on your brain; how could he possibly have known where they were? How did he catch up with them? Why on earth hadn't they burned out of town in literally 30 minutes flat, in a helicopter? It's a nice scene on its own, and in a film with a caper tone - like Get Shorty, for instance - it would have been a nice little piece of work. But in the grander context, it leaves you scratching your head. And that's the ultimate problem with this movie - it doesn't know what it wants to be. At times it wants to be The Thomas Crown Affair; at times Oceans Eleven, at times Get Shorty - but it fumbles the tone between all three, and often injects a lovelorn earnestness in some scenes that is fundamentally out of rhythm with the caper-like style of the scenes preceding. In summary, unfocused; however - the two leads drag it - sometimes kicking and screaming - over the finish line, and there are much worse ways to spend 105 minutes. And it's good to see Will Smith back.

this is the peak of Will Smith's career.
It's clear to see that Smith's extensive experience in film and television in such shows as Fresh Prince of Bels air, has aptly prepared him for the performance of his life. They're is a not a single film I can recall that has such an interesting and complex plot and such varied characters. Margo Robbie ruins it.

Scams Cheating Suspense Corrupt Formula type Rally- Learn Avoid sexy ladies touching you!
ENJOYABLEWhy go to the University of Crime, watch this if you want to be an officer of the law or if you like to go on X factor to do a clever deception. The learning curve to avoid. a friend without consultation paid once saw a car on Facebook and paid to a scam company hoping a car to be brought over to the UK - £4000 lost- only if he paid £900 more and picked up the car from a decent car dealer. The same technique in this movie gets attention- too good to be true and serious fraud.Enjoyable all the way,
