rosacea, dermatitis and fungal acne here -- this is the best out of everything i've tried. it's a bit gloopy almost like a gel, but absorbs super fast and my skin is visibly more even and softer after a few days of use. the dear klaris toner used to be my hg, this is its replacement now! super happy

I've been applying this essence twice daily for a few weeks & I'm really enjoying it! Right out of the tall, frosted glass bottle it's a bit thick/viscous but it thins out considerably once warmed between the palms of my hands & applied to the skin. It absorbs quickly & even after 3 layers it does not feel heavy or leave the skin feeling tacky (which kinda surprised me but I ain't complaining!). This essence does a fabulous job at hydrating & plumping my dry, easily sensitized (not sensitive) skin & performs nicely as a toner, an essence, &/or a serum depending on what my skin needs & with consistent use my skin now appears brighter & much more even toned with less redness! I also struggle with clogged pores in my t-zone & I've experienced no issues while using even with Shea Butter in the formulation. It's also great to use as an "all-in-one" product on busy mornings (or lazy night's 😴) when I can't be bothered with a full 10-step routine & my skin will still be sufficiently hydrated all day/night. Highly recommended!

In an attempt to revamp my skincare routine, I purchased this product. While it is somewhat adhesive and hydrating, it lacks an unpleasant odor, which is a positive aspect. However, once applied to the face, it becomes slightly sticky and heavy. However, as it dries, its texture becomes more manageable.

Light, moisturizing gel-like absorbs well and spreads easily on skin.

This is my favorite thing that I put on my face. I ordered it when I started a 10-step Korean beauty routine (which has already been INCREDIBLE). To be clear, this is an extremely subtle product. When I first started using it, I was like, "Is this even doing anything?? Am I basically just putting water on my face?" The ingredient list is liquid gold so I wanted it to be amazing but I wasn't sure. Here's the thing - THIS product alone isn't going to massively transform your skin. It doesn't have any "actives" in it that are going to radically reduce your wrinkles or make your acne go away or magically even out your skin tone. What it does have is a ton of skin FOOD, and I didn't fully appreciate it until about 2 weeks after I started using it when I introduced Matrixyl, Retinol, and Vitamin C to my skin. Cue absolute skin freakout. I was using them as directed but I have EXTREMELY sensitive skin and it got to the point where my skin was absurdly painful and ANYTHING that touched it - any moisturizer, any serum, even my tears one night when I cried LOL - made my skin BURN... except this. This and only this felt like cool silk on my skin and gave me incredible relief, even though its purpose isn't even relieving irritation. My skin is adjusting to the rest of the products in my routine and is less irritated now (most days) but even on a great skin day, this essence feels amazing. The fact that it has important ingredients like niacinamide, licorice root extract, etc and still behaves like a relief mask is so impressive to me.Some tips:1. You need way less than you think you do. I started out just slathering it on and feeling annoyed and frustrated when it was sticky and tacky, especially with my other serums layered on top of it. I now only use about a pea sized amount and my skin literally just drinks it until there's no residue whatsoever but my skin is left really bright and happy.2. Pat it in. This is in combination with the tip above. Patting it makes the smaller amount go farther and makes your skin absorb it faster so you can move onto the next step in your routine without your face still being sticky from this one. I put the product in the palm of one hand and dip my fingertips in it from the other hand, then use those fingers to pat it in in 4 zones: cheek from ear to nose, other cheek from ear to nose, chin to upper lip, and forehead/temples/top of nose.3. Use it as an essence. The name of the product suggests it could be a toner, essence, or serum, but it really can't. The reason differentiating between these is important is because in a routine, you want to apply the thinnest (usually water-based) products first and the thickest last, because a thin product can't penetrate a thicker product to reach your skin. This essence is VERY vaguely like a super watery gel, but it's still too viscous to be a toner, which basically has the texture of water. It's too thin to be a serum and also doesn't behave like a serum; it isn't an intense fixer product, it's just like the product that enhances all of the other products.My skin is still transitioning right now and not that nice so I'm gonna hold out on posting pictures but if I remember I'll come back and update the review. It's definitely brighter, healthier, and WAY more moisturized with this in my routine, and it is the only product out of the 18 in my routine right now that I absolutely do not ever skip.A couple of side notes: I don't know why people were mentioning a scent. It is TOTALLY unscented. There is like an almost smell to it, but it isn't a fragrance - it's fresh the way cucumber smells fresh (but it doesn't smell like cucumber) and it's almost nonexistent. My nose, like literally everything else, is painfully sensitive and this barely makes my radar. Second, the bottle is nice because it's a heavy frosted glass and looks pretty on my counter, but it's a little annoying to get the product out because you can't squeeze - you just kind of have to shake it quickly 1-2 times and it drops out into your hand.I'm constantly looking for new versions of my products to replace old ones and try out new things; this is the only one that I probably won't EVER consider changing. I'm in love.

This Korean moisturizer is very very effective. Korean women have beautiful skin.

I bought this for my boyfriend because an influencer compared this to an SK-II dupe. I had no idea what to expect. He's 49 and has dehydrated skin. I tried this for just a few days before I brought it over to his house. I fell in love with this product. It's immensely hydrating and left my skin amazingly soft. My boyfriend also likes this the most out of all the korean skincare products I researched and bought on his behalf. He's told me 3 times now that it's his favorite. LOL It's not thin and it's perhaps as thick as a medium weight serum. This is considered an essence. I told him to use it after his toner and before his serum. Great product!! Since I discovered K-beauty about 6 years ago, I have fallen in love with their products, and I have tried so many and so many more I want to try. I have no brand loyalty, and I am always looking for something better. This is the ONLY product that I think I should never change. I tried the no. 3 serum from Numbuzin and even though it's good, there is no comparison with this holy grail. Not only does the packaging of this product look so luxurious, but the quality and the way it spreads on my skin make me feel like I'm at a spa. The products I use afterward get deeply and faster in my skin, which is the main purpose of an essence. I regret switching this product, and I'm going back to Jin Jung Sung as soon as I finish my other essence.You just need a little bit to feel your skin so hydrated.As a reference, my skin is oily and now it gets dehydrated since I am going through perimenopause.
