Works as intended, awesome tool to have in your gunsmithing tool bag.

Had a few brass need to bump shoulders back a few mm. This allowed me to make micro adjustments to the shoulder allowing for smoother chamber loads. Also have this for 6.5 creed and will also be getting one for my .223. If you reload especially bolt actions rifles, this for me is a must have to avoid unnecessary full sizing of brass fired in BOA rifles. Paired with a neck sizer, this process for me has produced good chambering in my BOA rifle and consistent groups.

I always depend on these body dies when sizing my rifle brass for proper fit in the chamber. I have noticed that with certain inexpensive dies, the shoulder is close but not close enough for a picky chamber until this die is used. I initially discovered this for my Rem. 7mm mag and now use for many other calibers. Initially, on setup, I use a sharpie marking to check what area and how much is to be changed with this die. Any loader with shoulder complications should try this die for repair. It has no effect on the neck portion.

I use this die with the “Redding Competition Shellholders” and Hornady Comparator to control headspace on my handloaded ammunition. It produces ammunition that is tailored to my specic weapon.

Die was very rough and needed to be polished in my lathe . This is the second such incident with reddingdies in 2 months . This had not been the case in the past.

In conjunction with the Redding Competition Shellholder, It allows you to set the headspace back precisely.
