Delicious! Non-spicy, and Easy to Understand Cooking Instructions! Will buy again!
It's delicious, easy to eat and cook, and arrived on time with no issues! Even though it's not fully in English (which is to be expected), the instructions were clear and easy to understand! I have bought this product several times and absolutely love it. The taste is creamy, not spicy, and full of rich oniony flavor!

Tastes good, and doesn't smell like chemicals(thankfully.)
These actually tasted good to me, I expected the quality to be minimal at best. Surprisingly I didn't smell and chemicals in the package, and it tastes somewhat authentic. The size is good too, a good amount of potato can be cooked.

Mildly Spicy is A Stretch!
This stuff has delayed heat which makes it fun to eat. Unfortunately, we had an uneven amount of spicy level in my box. One pack was like super spicy that my mom couldn't take it, but the other one was mess spicy and my mom enjoyed it. So, Have fun eating this. It is definitely good to eat these when korean places is not an option to go to eat these. Yummy!

This was better than i expected
I did not follow the instructions. I boiled the noodles for about 5 minutes, then strained and added milk, butter, sauce packets and a little mozzarella. Just like a box Mac and cheese. Lol. It turned out really tasty! I didn’t notice a strange smell. It just smells like Mac and cheese to me. There was an essence of heat and sweetness that just took it to a whole different level. I love the chewy texture of these noodles as well. This is the best one I’ve tried so far.

Too spicy for my boring taste buds, I guess
This was easy to make for sure, even if the size looks intimidating. It is a share size for someone like me, but it’s too spicy for me to finish as someone who is lactose intolerant and can’t always wash it down with milk like most. It doesn’t taste bad, but… it could taste better and less spicy. I think I’ll go back to my normal cheesy ra-bokki cups instead.

buy if you’re only willing to buy.
I noticed the reviews on this list and I couldn’t help but wonder about those complaining about how chewy these little rice cakes are, also about how “expensive” they are. If you were located in a foreign place, any food outside of the United States will be a bit more, however, this is only $12-14 for two serving I’m glad they’re not too known for their prices to rise. It’s not really a luxury, it’s your choice to buy and something you’ll most likely earn back, this is an honest review for those thinking it’s too expensive for two small servings. Portion sizes are not the same over there as it is over here in the United States, you cannot expect the same because in the states, the portions are much larger sizes compared to other countries. Clarification for those out there, it’s okay if the taste is weird, that’s fine your own opinion, however please put more consideration and research toward something like this. Rice cakes are suppose to be chewy, and if you’re picky or have a slight thought toward certain textures, then please understand this is much on the chewier side unless you cook it for less and perhaps should avoid this kind of food. Overall, I think this tastes wonderful, it’s much better if you add additional ingredients as well to your own preference so it’s just not the sauce packet they provide. This portion amount is perfect on the go and is excellent to be seen as a snack, I’ve seen other products much more expensive and have tried many other companies of rice cakes and flavors. This one is my personal favorite and can be filling to those of a petite size, the flavor is somewhat more different than other cheese flavors so I quite enjoy that. It’s best while hot so don’t waste it and leave it out for too long :) it’s not really a breakfast/lunch/dinner item, you can have this whenever you want to appropriate timing as a snack or the get go. If you are planning to get this, don’t think the flavor is something like super cheesy or incredibly hot, however it may be for some. I’ve seen reviews elaborate on how spicy this is, I for one don’t really think so and I have low tolerance for spices, but everyone is different. Don’t try this is you are doubtful or unwilling to try new things and expect similar characteristics to your own country. Be open minded and try other flavors as well, this is my most favorite compared to the other ones as this reminds me of something super little me will die for in my childhood. I’m glad I got to try this out and already bought a couple of more other packages.- lily.

Taste good. Easy to make. Intermediate spice level.
I've been going around amazon trying different easy tteokbokki kits. I'm not Korean, I'm not chef, but I have tried tteokbokki in korean restaurants and have made a batch from scratch before. For this, I made the kit by itself without any additives (chives, egg, etc) so I could taste the flavor first. This kit was easy to make and the directions were simple. The sauce was odd in my opinion, but I'm the wrong person to judge it. Here were my observations:The sauce thickened and had a flavor profile that reminded me of ketchup. Of course, there were some hints of gojuchang and chili powder, which gave it a nice intermediate spice. Unlike other kits I tried, when boiled this sauce had the consistency of a thick stew (like tomato paste / chef boyardee microwave pasta). As a result, the sauce was a bit more watery than I expected. Other kits I tried had sauces that were a bit more stickier like a sugary syrup with a stronger gojuchang flavor profile... so I suppose all of this depends on your preference.Overall, the tteokbokki was tasty! I ate it all. For those searching for tteokbokki, if you want to have a smoother (not sticky) sauce with stronger tomato flavoring and intermediate spice, this is your pick.
