I was a bit hesitant to buy this product when I saw a few negative reviews. One of them were complaining about the heaviness of the chess board. But I think this is an amazing chess set. The board is heavy and the chess pieces are beautiful. I'm very impressed. And I think 5k is a reasonable price.Yeah you can't take the board with you if you want to take this with you during your vacation because yeah the board is heavy. Maybe buy a rollable chess board sheet and take the coins. But I'm sure you will be happy with it. Attaching few pics that I took.

Surely, the inside foam will give away soon and will not last the test of time if you intended to pass it on from one generation to another.The felt under the pieces are showing signs of fraying and loosing adhesive on the sides( minor glitches that can be fixed with some glue, but I’m expecting A grade quality when one is shelling 5.2kThe locking mechanism is really shoddy, a robust premium mechanism would have been greatNote: I’d rate it 3.5 stars considering the high price.If the price was 3500 I’d rate it 4. The only reason I’m not returning despite the high price is cuz it is a Christmas gift for a dear friend and I’m short of time to go through the process.

The durability and handling is a great experience

Overll a good product but craftmanship or quality check must happen before dispatch. 1 White Rook seems to be from a different batch. It clearly stands out as the odd piece. Not expected when one's shelling out a higher price.

Price / weight of the board a bit high. Coins are good.Plastic with thick mould and canvas board can be bought for Rs. 700/- for the same size.
