Perfect Travel Toy
This little thing is so easy to pack - pocket sized & open-ended toy that kept my elementary schooler busy through a busy weekend of travel, from plane to train to bus. I thought the challenge cards would be a hit, but he had more fun making up games & designs with it.

Fun for everyone
We bought this for my son's birthday. He and I had a great time trying to work our way through some of the puzzles. Others around us were quickly interested and we quickly lost it for a time. The only thing I didn't like was the cards. We were playing with it outside during a camping trip and had to be rally careful to not lose the cards or have them blow away. A see through container for the cards would be really nice so you can have the puzzle you're working on on top and store them safely.

Hard to put down
We love Fat Brain Toys! I bought Ivan's Hinge because it was a small toy with no pieces to lose. My plan was to throw it in the diaper bag and pull it out for my 4 & 6 year olds to play with when we were waiting somewhere (doctor's, restaurant, etc.) It has been sitting on the table of our classroom and the kids and I play with it every time we see it. The 4 year old just fidgets with it, the 6 year old makes patterns then tries to find the card that matches what he made. I start with the card and try to copy it. It's very simple but very fun. The hinges work really well and it is easy to bend and twist. The only part I don't like is that each card has two challenges on it (one on the front and one on the back). If you do one challenge then flip the card over all you have to do to solve the back side is flip Ivan's Hinge over and it is already solved. We are very happy with this toy and I am going to buy a second one because everyone always wants to play it.

Not exactly what I thought it would be
Not exactly what I thought it would be when I ordered it for a 14-year-old. I was somewhat dissatisfied but I needed it the next day for a birthday gift. I will not buy it again

Super fun toy!
I bought this for my 8 year old son as a little stocking stuffer. I didn't have high expectations, but it seemed like it might entertain him at least for a little while -so I ordered it.Let me tell you, the packaging dares you to put it down once you've played with it and they are SO right! Just holding it is interesting. The way the hinges move and the way the whole thing changes shapes and collapses - it is really a LOT of fun! Then after the initial fun factor, comes the puzzle. STILL fun! I'm a 36 year old woman and I kept asking him for turns! We even sat together to figure some of the puzzles out.I now want to order a bunch of these and keep them to give as gifts at every birthday party this year.I love this toy and you will too! Great job, Fat Brain Toy Company! Two thumbs all the way up!

Fun travel game
Great game for on the go! Perfect for an airplane. Six year old is enjoying it and it is challenging for him. Maybe best for 8yr old

Fun toy, broke quickly
This was a gift to my 9 year old son for his birthday. He loves puzzles, Legos, Perplexus, and brain teasers. He was very excited to get this, and really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, after about an hour of play, the plastic pieces broke on one of the hinges, making it useless. It’s really too bad, because it would be a great toy.The company did ask for feedback regarding the toy. Unfortunately, I haven’t heard back.

and moreover helps keep him occupied when he becomes bored and needs something to do quietly
I gave this "brain teaser" to one of my grandsons for his Birthday.... it helps develop his mind skills.. and moreover helps keep him occupied when he becomes bored and needs something to do quietly.... And I personally would rather see him challenging his mind with hands on toys rather than playing video games
