Jowoom is consistently improving this product. I have had previous versions of this product, and newer additions include an improved LCD screen and custom guitar tuning.I love using it in a ukulele classroom for two reasons. First, I can move from ukulele to ukulele in "Auto Mode" and simply tune...not having to worry about what string I'm on or pressing buttons each time. Second, I can do other things (talk with students, teach, etc.) while tuning without thinking about it.When you use an automatic tuner, whether this model or the competitor's product, you need to be aware of what you're doing. If the automatic tuner (regardless of brand) starts spinning wildly, TAKE THE TUNER OFF THE PEG. Turn it off and on again, and if the problem continues, reset it. Don't simply let the device spin wildly and snap a string.Please take the time to review the manual and to learn how this tuner works. I had middle school students use these to tune our ukuleles (as a service time when those students deliberately messed up the tuning on their ukuleles in class), and they could easily use them. You can, too.This tuner will NOT work with friction pegs or UPT tuners. Geared tuners only.I also like the weight of this unit (it feels solid) as well as the long battery life. I can go weeks without charging it as I tune 40 ukuleles at a time, many times throughout the day.I also like the UP & DW buttons, as the tuner can also function as a string winder, which also helps compensate for some of the cost.Tuning accuracy is good. There are tuners that are noted for extreme accuracy...but they are not auto tuners, and are clip-on tuners (e.g. D'Addario NS, TC Polytune, and Peterson Clip Strobe) some of which approach the price of this tuner. Trust me...you don't want to be moving a clip-on tuner between 40 ukuleles.I like this product, and the company has been very responsive to my questions and concerns. I highly recommend this product.

It works like it says, but it would be better if it fit all tuning heads. I can only tune some of my guitars. Wish it could do the bass as well. If you can afford it, why not have a nice toy.

I bought it to tune my collection of ukulele’s fast. It does just that with pretty good accuracy. Of course, I’m picky and will use my TonalTuner App to get within 2 cents. I am a band director by trade. I loaned this to my choral director, friend. What a time saver!!! She loves it and is getting one for her wall of classroom ukuleles. I forgot I loaned it to her … she still has it. I found out when another vocal musics director asked me where I found out about this tuner. Apparently, my friend was raving about it at an elementary music meeting.

I’m an elementary general music teacher and this is the first year with my ukuleles. I’m learning alongside the kids, and I’ll admit that tuning a class set of 25 ukes sounded intimidating to me. This device made it so simple! I was able to tune them much quicker than I can with a regular electric tuner. I’d consider this an absolute must for a music teacher incorporating ukulele or guitar into the curriculum!

I tried this "tuner" to help with changing strings during a guitar setup, and I used the full manual mode to get them wound onto the tuning post. I had the strings all fairly close (tuned by ear to the piano), and it decided that three of the strings were way too low, and very quickly tried to "tune" them and before I could pull the unit off, the string snapped. I went through the instructions again to make sure that I was using it correctly and tried again. Second string snapped. I went through the tuner again, making sure that I had it set to the correct string I was working on, and lost a third string. Yeah I am able to return it for a refund easily enough, but I have to buy a new set of strings, and of course, I won't be reimbursed for that. I won't even consider getting a replacement, as I don't want to continue replacing strings. Not just that, but I was using my right hand to play the string, and I got that whip sensation from two of them. Trying the thing was costly and painful. : ( I will really think twice about trying another one regardless of the brand. I get about 7 guitars per week to do setups for, and I will continue to string them up by hand.

This device tunes guitars accurately. It's very sturdy and tunes very fast. I was able to tune 5 guitars in under 5 minutes. All of the buttons fit nicely under the thumb. The string winder is powerful and fast but not too fast. You also do not have to page thru a menu to access the functions. This tuner/winder is actually fun to use.

I had been tuning by ear for a while and thought I'd give this a try and I was amazed at how easy this wasto tune my Acoustic Fender, I was also impressed that I had 3 of my 6 strings pretty spot on! :) but was off pretty bad on low E and D strings. after tuning I strummed the strings, and the sound was noticeably better! Great Job with this product and I highly recommend.
