Tidal Wake IP68 Underwater 1/2in Standard Boat Drain Plug LED Light, Brilliant Underwater Lighting in Minutes! No Holes to Drill!

After looking at the high prices of other reputable LED light options to add to my boat, I was a bit skeptical of how well this might perform, especially given the ease of installation and the fact that my outdrive is super close to the drain plug on my particular boat. I am incredibly pleased with the light output and look of the light and the product seems to be very well made! Hopefully I will have no problems with longevity, but so far no issues after one season!

The media could not be loaded. Bought this drain plug LED light only because of the pictures and videos from other people who bought it. Recently took the fam out on the lake at night. This thing is super bright for $70. I know people said it could be brighter, which it can, but for $70 it’s $70 bright enough. Lol. Easy to hook up to your boat navigation lights and control with your switch if you’re handy. I got the white light but thinking about getting a blue or red one soon. It’s worth every penny. I unloosened it when we got out the water to drain any water then screwed it right back in instead of unplugging from adapter like some people mentioned.

This a neat way to have underwater lighting without spending a ton of money. Some people mentioned they had issues with leaking so I went to NAPA and got an o-ring to add some additional protection. I also used Teflon tape and pipe dope on the threads. No leaks so far. I haven’t used the light at night yet but it seems like it’s pretty bright. I agree with other posters that the quick disconnect should be at the end of the cord, not down by the light. I cut it out and soldered it to a better place to make it easily accessible in the engine compartment. Hopefully the light lasts awhile since I keep it in the water all season. Time will tell.

Easy to install ! Fantastic light for night fishing and even better for safety on the water ! Easily seen by other boaters . A great deal and a must have for boating at night !
