A very nice pack!
Helikon-Tex gets a big round of applause from me! This pack is Heavy Duty! It has more than enough room to be used for an EDC Commuter bag or for a decent overnight bag. I got the Flektarn pattern for my EDC bag and a Black one as my medical bag. I just wish that Helikon-Tex made a few insert bags for the larger back pocket. I also got the Medium organizer, it’s a little smaller than I was expecting, but definitely workable.

Great EDC pack
Very good quality pack. Made of a semi-lightweight material that will last a long time. I would say it is medium to smallish in size. It is very comfortable on the back. One negative thing I could find is that the zippers catch on the flap, though this is a minor complaint

Perfect Customizable EDC Pack
In searching for a new EDC backpack, I had a few very specific criteria. I work as an assistant principal and needed it as an everyday carry for work. It needed to be big enough to fit my laptop, several books, laptop charger, a water bottle, coffee cup, a first aid kit, and various other things I use on the daily. I wanted a pack that could fit this various gear and had room for some extras as needed, but didn’t feel like a 50 liter hiking pack.I did a TON of research and eventually landed on the Helikon-Tex EDC. The front and side molle webbing and the interior hook and loop meant I could add various pouches as needed, customizing the pack for my needs. I didn’t love the “tacticool” look and am not into guns/tactical gear, but the possibilities for customization sold me.I’ve carried this pack for the last 8 months on a daily basis. The Cordura has held upbeautifully and the pack hasn’t shown any signs of wear. Not sure about it as an extended carry pack, but the shoulder straps are comfortable and it has a hip belt, so I imagine it would be moderately comfortable. However, as an EDC is where it truly shines, especially if you are willing to spend the extra money to make it work for your needs.I added two exterior water bottle pouches, one for water and one for a coffee cup. I added two exterior pouches on the molle webbing, one for a flashlight and Leatherman and the other for things I need for quick access (phone, Advil, headphones, etc). On the interior hook and loop pocket is my first aid kit, a pouch for my computer charger and wireless mouse, and a pouch for pens. The main compartment carries my computer and several small notebooks. It has room for extras like a light jacket, more books, etc. The exterior the shock cords mean I can also put a jacket on the outside and save interior room.My only complaints are that it doesn’t have permanent water pouches, which cost an extra $30... However, I couldn’t be happier with my purchase, especially considering it’s a sub $60 pack, that rivals competitors that are 2-3 times as expensive. Keep in mind I spent and extra $60-$80 in pouches to truly customize it for my needs, but the combo of price and possibilities are what makes this pack a great EDC investment.

A great bag.
Super comfortable and carries nice. Built thought and seems like it will last forever. Zippers are great. This pack is designed for attaching Attachments on the inside and only has 2 big pockets. I attached a simple water bottle holder on the outside as I don’t like to use bladders. You can kinda set up the bag anyway you want to but 1 extra pocket for like small items would have been nice. Shoulder straps are padded nicely and comes with a belt also for heavy loads. Mine is the adaptive green color and I think it’s a great choice of color. Lack of side pockets makes me give this bag a 4 star rating. Add side pockets and 1 small pocket on top for small items like sunglasses/car keys and this would be my perfect bag. Might try to order some of those attachments to add organization. Great for a day hike, every day carry(EDC), summer overnight, a travel bag, range bag, work bag. Also could be used as a simple bug out bag with said attachments.

Super durable, perfectly proportioned, pain in the ...
This bag will, unfortunately, last forever. It's just the right size with enough molle for add-ons. The material is tough as hell. The back plate takes some getting used to. The biggest problem, however, are the zippers. The pulls were too small, (made my own, longer) and the zipper is constantly eating the fly cover. It shouldn't take two hands and an engineering degree to close an EDC backpack.4 yrs later... Not a stitch out of place and nothing is torn. This seems to be an indestructible bag. I'm a city truck driver. This is my everyday bag. It carries two 1.5 liter bottles, various tools, keys, a few molle pouches, and gets tossed all over the place. I still curse the zippers every damned day. Why won't this bag die?

Fit amazing with armor
Solid Codura for durability , a rigid back panel for strength and an amazing design makes this a really good day pack to add to your kit.

Simple, rugged and effective.
It’s been great for day hikes and EDC purposes. Carries the load comfortably, love the reinforced and padded back. For the price, I don’t think it gets better in this size/utility class.

Parfait

Very solid and well made for daily use
1 year product review:I've had this pack for a year. Its an all round winner. The cordura its made of is strong and robust, the straps and stitching are solid and good. The zips are YKK made and are smooth. It's has the right balance of being light and strong. After a full year of everything from going to work to hiking its held up fine. So long as you avoid sitting it in mud or laying it around on rough surfaces like rocks while hiking it will stay looking new and the Cordura wont get fuzzy.I own some different packs I can compare it to: Ospreys are good for their smaller range as they use very lightweight materials. The advantage in low weight can be unbeatable for a short quick hike. However the cordura in the Helikon pack feels way more solid and Ospreys get stupidly expensive. I also think their large packs are a bit lightweight and I would like something a bit more solid. At the other end of the spectrum I have a large Maxpedition pack. Maxpedition are rock solid, the cordura is way thicker than the Helikon, but the tradeoff is that they feel a lot heavier and are expensive backpacks given their price range. So my thoughts are, smalls Ospreys for light hikes or even jogging around in, Maxpedition for large camping loads and heavy hauling and Maxpedition for everyday use.I paired my Helikon with a mini medpack just so I have first aid on me if I need it when out on a hike. I also threw in an organiser Helikon-Tex Backpack Panel Insert which fits this pack perfectly and topped it off by lining it with a 'drybag' in case it rains.
