NerfRival Rechargeable Battery Pack

This is definitely a must have if you have a blaster that can accept it. I'm using mine on the Nerf Rival Nemesis and it fits perfectly. The great thing about this is that it cuts back on the weight a ton! Instead of using x6 D-cell batteries, which really weighed it down. The other benefit is that it is rechargeable, so you can use it over and over again, without having to purchase a bunch of extra batteries. It charges pretty quickly, and there's a red indicator light that blinks once it's complete, so that's convenient. Additionally, you get an extended use time, plus added performance boost, whereas the D-cell batteries will start to deplete immediately, this you get a slight overcharge as well as a longer initial peak before you start seeing effects of the battery drain. So it's an easy way to up the performance of your blaster as well. All in all, I would highly highly recommend this to anyone interested!

This rechargeable battery pack is compatible with a number of Nerf Rival blasters, including the Hera and Nemesis, the two I have used it with. Given that the Hera takes 6 C size batteries, and the Nemesis takes 6 D size batteries, this battery pack starts to pay for itself after the first couple charging cycles. Not only does it improve your pocketbook over the long term, it also yields slightly higher muzzle velocity (less 10 FPS higher than the regular batteries), and in the case of the Nemesis (it is full-auto while the Hera is semi-auto), a slightly higher rate of fire. The biggest improvement of this battery pack is the weight. It weighs in at about half the weight of its regular battery tray counterparts. Whether you are buying for a child or adult, this is an incredible improvement that will greatly increase the quality of your game. I cannot stress enough how much better the blaster feels in your hands with the extra weight taken off. This pack is a reasonable price at $30. I bought it at $15. Absolutely recommend.

This battery works great. I bought it with damaged packaging from Amazon and it still performed as it should. I however lost the instructions, so for those of you who may get frustration free packaging, here is how it works.1) Plug it in2) Light will be steady red on the charger3) Blinking light on charger means ready to goIn my exoerience a blinking light typically means charging and a steady light means charged. So this seemed backwards to me. The battery is more efficient and lightweight than using standard batteries. You will see a slight performance increase using this (despite the slightly lower voltage it higher current). This battery is also more stsble than doing something such as a lipo conversion. I havr no issues with my 8yo switching it out due to this. Just pick up one of these if you have any blaster it works with. Its well worth it! A must have for Nerf Rival enthusiasts. This battery works in the Nemesis, Khaos, and Hera and also works in the Adventure Force Accelerator (non-Nerf brand). They charge in about 2 hours and you get hours and hours of play time without diminished performance at all. These batteries actually give the guns better performance in terms of power, speed, FPS, etc. They are also much, MUCH, lighter than putting D batteries in these guns. There is a significant difference in weight which is huge if you are in a prolonged Nerf game or if you are playing multiple rounds. $30 rechargeable battery trumps buying $15 packages of D batteries over and over again, any day.

This battery is NiMH, which is a slight disappointment considering LiPo and LiFe batteries are common these days. NiMH is still decent technology and if you take care of it should last quite a while. It is 7.2 volts and intended to replace the 6 D batteries in your Nerf blaster. NiMH cells are 1.2 volts per cell and Alkaline batteries are 1.5 volts per cell, so by using this instead of D's you're actually losing 1.8 volts. They could have made a 7 cell NiMH battery which would have been 8.4 volts... but they didn't. Compared to the D batteries, I really didn't notice a difference in rate of fire, accuracy or distance. D batteries are ridiculously expensive and heavy, so this is an upgrade in every sense... less weight, less expense long term. No regrets on this purchase, but I'm pulling one star for Nerf using old technology and not having the forethought to add another cell to more accurately replicate the voltage of the original battery configuration. Keep in mind, 4 stars is great... a 3 cell LiPo or some more modern setup would be fantastic.TLDR version: Get it!

If you have the Nerf Rival Khaos, this is an essential counterpart for the blaster.Regular users of the Rival Khaos should notice that their blasters performance slowly begins to decrease after a while. This is because constant use easily wears out the prescribed D volt batteries. This predicament forces users of this blaster to change batteris every month or so. You do not want that. 6 D batteries cost around 17.00 $, so after a year, you've payed more than triple the amount of the already expensive but amazing Rival Khaos.Fret not! There is an alternative! Behold, the Nerf Rival Khaos Rechargeable Battery Pack, a.k.a. a very smart choice. If you buy this, you will save so much money on batteries for your Khaos blaster.And that's not all! This battery pack also makes your Nerf Rival Khaos astonishingly lighter than with standard D Batteries.So yes, you should buy this, but only if you want to save hundreds of dollars and lower the weight of a very heavy blaster.(Update)-This battery pack is also compatible with the new Rival Nemesis
