Nerf Rival 12-Round Magazine

Totally legit, original Nerf packaging and at a great price. I would for sure buy from you guys again. Thank you I even returned two others I got from another seller because one of them didn’t lock into my blaster. I even re-turned it in I didn’t send me another one and sent me the same one that didn’t work, and you guys have a better price. I’m so tired of getting some thing and then having to send it back because the one I got looks like it was re-packaged are used when I pay for it new.

I bought knowing that if I wanted to use it with my Rivals Pathfinder I'd have to 3D print some shims to glue on it. No big deal. Received the product and much to my surprise it looks like NERF has finally made it so these magazines will work with the Pathfinder! I loaded it up and fired a dozen rounds without a single jam. Good news for Pathfinder fans looking to increase their ammo carrying capacity.

So on its own merits as a magazine, these are pretty much perfect. I've never had any sort of malfunction, they're easy to load, lightweight, and seem pretty durable. This is simply to warn anyone that if you're buying these for a Helios or Apollo, you're in for a bad time. A little Googling reveals that there are/were two generations of the official Nerf Rival 12-round magazines. The one first-generation mag I have (that came with my Hera) works perfectly in everything. Unfortunately, for the second generation Hasbro apparently thickened the sides (and especially corners) of the two transparent clips on the body of the magazine that help hold the halves together. This added material is juuuust enough to make insertion and removal of the magazines in my Helios extremely difficult. And I don't mean that it takes a lot of force, I mean that these clips get stuck against the inner walls of the grip and require extensive finagling to get in and out. Others have reported it being so tight they had to disassemble the blaster to remove the magazine. Further Googling reveals this can be remedied with some VERY careful polishing work to remove the sharp corners of the clip that cause the problem, but I haven't yet been motivated/brave enough to try it myself. Obviously, if you overdo it, you could compromise the integrity of the magazine. Attempt that at your own risk. If you're not using a Helios or Apollo, this is a non-issue. All work brilliantly in my Hera and I haven't seen reports of any issues with the Zeus, Hypnos, or Atlas as none of them surround the magazine tightly (though I don't own any of those blasters to try myself). Just thought you should be aware.

Magazine works very well, even comes with many Rival balls!

My son ordered this with his birthday money to go with his new Nerf Rival Pathfinder that he got as a gift. It works great and he loves that it holds so many bullets and attaches perfectly to the gun.

This is a must have for rival guns. While your opponent reloads you are ready to go in seconds. Recommend getting several to keep the fun going.

I'd say its ok, because yes it holds nearly double of the standard magazine but, it can easily get caught inside the handle, and you have to fidget with it to make it go inside. Not very smooth. You'd be lucky to slide it in smoothly first time. Same thing when trying to pull out the magazine. Once locked in, the bottom of the magazine sticks out fairly far. Of course this magazine was really meant to be used with the Nerf Rival Zeus, but I got it to be used with the Phantom Corps Helios. The clips are useful for clipping the magazine to the rails on the blaster. They are durable. The can be easily knocked off when its not holding a magazine. They hold the extra magazine tightly, so there is no worries of it coming loose while playing. It fits 12 rounds, but the package comes 18 rounds. Nice! I wished they sold the short standard one that came with the Nerf Rival Phantom Corps Helios XVIII-700 separately.
