Good Old Fashioned Fun!
Great value! I purchased this last year when we had houseguests! It kept them busy and entertained! The children were 7 and 9 years old, but a younger child could have had fun with them with a little help folding the edges. The airplanes are colorful and the kids names each one. We had airplane races and used a tape measure to see how far each plane went. For less than $5, it provided hours of entertainment! Some good old fashioned paper airplanes were the hit of the weekend! It was nice to see our video game console not being used and the kids outside running around!

Fun, but harder than you might think!
We thought from the colorful papers and youthful stickers that this kit would be an appropriate gift for our 4-yo, who has spent hours flying his own simple paper airplanes. Well, he LOVES it, for sure. The plane designs are fantastic, and we were not disappointed. The first one we folded up flew further than the hundreds of paper airplanes we had made before (without any fancy book or instructions--just what we could come up with on our own). However, plan to do this with your child! The instructions took some hem-hawing to figure out, and the folding gets tough--not to mention, folding evenly is certainly something only older children or adults can do. I thought maybe these papers would come pre-scored or marked for folding. They do not. All the papers are blank (well, they have patterns, but no lines for folding), and there is a separate book for folding instructions. As long as there is a parent or a big brother or sister (age 13 and up) to help, this is definitely FUN and it is a big hit for Christmas!

Okay but not a favorite
My grandson launched into this kit without help (he's 10), but was not satisfied with his results. He's bright and methodical so should have been able to do the planes without help, but his results, although they looked reasonable, didn't fly well so he lost interest. The paper is good quality and attractively patterned, and later I folded a couple of sheets into the traditional paper airplane style (without looking at the directions). My planes flew as well or better than ones made from ordinary copy paper and were good looking, but not exciting enough to encourage any of us to make more.Since the paper is heavier than copy paper, it would seem you could get a plane that would fly better outside than one made with standard paper, so if you're into paper airplanes (whatever your age) this set of bright paper sheets might provide a fun alternative to standard paper. Making a good one seems to take a deft hand, however.

Best surprise fun on vacation
Bought this for something to do in our rental house when on vacation with kids and grandparents. Paper is high quality, instructions are easy to follow and we all had so much fun! Our place had a loft- we had competitions to see which designs were fastest, went furthest and did the coolest tricks. The planes lasted a full week of flights :) We keep the book at home now so we can still make all the designs. Would totally gift this to a kid who is into making things.

Best planes yet!
My grandchildren , ages 6 and 8 yrs loved these planes and spent many hours circulating the skies (family room ceiling) with these planes. They flew many curves and dives and who knows what else but fun was had by all. I don't know what other "toy"that I have brought them on my visit that they enjoyed so much, but this was a winner. I did find it a little hard to follow the directions for folding but enlisted my engineer son and that solved the problem.I will buy these again for my next visit.

Lots of flying fun
Purchased this for my 6 yr. old son. Though he can't follow the instructions on his own, we sit down and build with him and he's been able to learn from that and practice on cheaper paper and build more planes. The paper is durable, we went through quite a few sheets and he flies them regularly and carries them in a grocery sack and they still are in great shape. I don't know what to say to anyone who feels misled...it's clear it's instructions and sheets of colorful paper, no surprise there. Anyway, we've all had fun, economical toy and skills they can learn and use themselves to build more too.

very disappointed
I purchased this product for my 6 year old son who loves origami and paper air planes. I was extremely disappointed for several reasons. The price of the product was reasonable. Shipping was outrageous and when it showed up the package was damaged. The package looked as though someone had opened it, stepped on it, then threw it in a box to ship. Once I started to use the product with my son, I was extremely disappointed. To me, there seemed to be little difference than if I was to go to a good stationary store buy some paper and watch a video on how to fold plans. Definitely regret purchasing product!
