SmiffysSmiffy's 80s Crimp Wig

I haven't worn it yet for an extended period of time, just need to fluff it up a bit

I think I got what I expected & overall I was pretty satisfied. I purchased this wig for a tacky prom party we were hosting. Well, this wig is tacky! It fit well & was as comfortable as any wig can be. My complaints are that no matter how hard you work at it or how much hairspray you apply you can't get the shorter part in the front (massive bangs) to blend with the back. So, it kind of looks like you have on 2 separate wigs. A long one, and a short one. My other problem is that the roots on the wig look strange in photographs. We had a professional photographer at our party and it looked almost like the wig was slipping off my head and my brown hair was showing, which it wasn't. The brown roots with the bleached blonde hair was my favorite thing about the wig when I purchased it but that didn't seem to work out for me. All in all, I was happy with my purchase. I was supposed to look tacky after all.

So...first I'll start with the bad and finish with the redeeming qualities fo the wig. My wig looked nothing like the picture the hair was basically pure frizz and very little crimp definition and the bangs wouldn't stand up to the size they were more like the big poofy front bangs. Also, the roots are more like a grey, but the party I went to was dimly lit. This, however, still worked and added a lot to my 80s outfit for a tacky 80's party. I won the "best costume" and I attribute that to this wig because the wig itself is huge and frizzy. This was the cheapest biggest addition to my outfit, and I am pleased with the product for the results.

The big poufy bangs on this wig and the whole top part are NOT blonde with darker roots like the picture shows, they are completely gray. Like old lady gray with zero blonde. It looks like they put 2 wigs together, old lady on top, blonde on bottom. Looks ridiculous. Had to order something else for my 80s costume because this one was so terrible looking.

Not going to lie, this is not a good wig. It's very very cheap and did not look exactly like the photo. But what can you expect for a cheap wig?!

For the price this is fantastic. Looks pretty good for 13 bucks. Definitely that cheap hair material don't expect gold for nickel prices... all in all I have gotten a lot of compliments today. You do have to fluff it up a bit,hair spray the bangs up etc. I did opt for the skull cap and wig band to have a better fit.

It’s very cheap material but a great wig overall. If you just need it for a night or two it’s perfect! I use it for acting and I’ve noticed after the third time worn it’s getting kinda tangly and it doesn’t look as nice but good for the price. Fits great

Cheap, sparse and doesn't look like the picture. If I wanted to style the wig, I would just style my own hair. No gracias.

This wig was a huge hit at my friends 80's theme birthday party! Worth the buy as I wasn't up to spending hours on doing my own hair lol. It does show the lines on the top of the head that separates the big bangs to the curls so I just added a bright headscarf to mask it and it looked perfect.

Wig is awfully hideous but perfect for fancy dress, will need a lot of playing with to have the mullet looking like the picture as just a big flat parting down the back at the moment and this sheds a lot. Will be passed to the kids fancy dress box once used for my night out.

The roots on the wig show more than the picture and it is a lot more frizzy in the front. It's like someone has tried it on then sent it back. Even for fancy dress it's not worth the money.

Ok but over priced as things are brought last minute - better for a winter or outdoor party 🙈
