Bayou Classic B300 Perforated Steam, Boil, Fry Accessory Basket. Fits 30-Quart Bayou Classic Turkey Fryers

This product was as advertised. I don't know the brand of my pot, but I guess it is a little narrower than some. The basket fit inside, but the lip of the basket sat on top of the lip of my pot. This might be ok for some applications, but I wanted the basket to sit on or at least near the bottom of my pot. I used pliers and a hammer to straighten the lip of the basket which allowed it to fit perfectly in my pot. I did a low-country boil that could have fed about 20 people. It's a good addition to my propane frying/boiling rig.

I'll start by saying that this pot arrived so dented, it was unusable; BUT I firmly believe this is the shipper's fault -- box was severely dented/crushed in same places as pot (see photos). Sadly, I did not have time to return/replace (which I'm sure would have been accepted) because I had to cook a low country boil for 24 people 8 hours later 2 states away. I took a rubber mallet and after @ 6 low-force whacks, the insert looked almost new. This is a "pro" because light-weight aluminum is EXACTLY what you need for an effective inner basket for boiling. Heavier metal would take forever to heat up. The capacity was perfect for that large amount of food and the big holes are exactly what is needed to quickly drain 10 pounds of food. The product dimensions were very accurate and I carefully measured my turkey fryer before buying -- no disappointment there; it fit perfectly. I agree with another reviewer that small circumference items (like spaghetti) would slip out the holes, but assuming you have bigger items, no worries. I particularly appreciate the big holes because 10 pounds of food plus 20+ Quarts of water weigh a lot, so really need rapid drain time. I have not cooked with oil in this basket, but imagine the same rationale would apply. Clean-up was as expected for aluminum. All in all, this basket is a great value for money and a wise choice if you already own a turkey fryer set-up of the appropriate size.

Fit into my steam pot perfectly with no issues. Recommend it to anyone if you asked.

Low country boil is a big deal in my area. I bought this basket to up my game and make it easier to serve my guests.Product arrived on time and in perfect condition. Basket is well made and appears quite sturdy.My only issue is with the measurements listed in the write up. I meticulously measured my pot and double checked it against the Amazon write up. Unfortunately the write up diameter dimension doesn’t appear to include the turned out lip at the top. Or manufacturing tolerances are greater than what I allowed for. Certainly couldn’t have been my error (hahaha!). Either way, the basket won’t slide down in my pot. The solution is simple: I’m going to use my grinder and remove about an 1/8” all the way around the rim, giving me a 1/4” clearance. This should be plenty.Overall I’m very happy with this. Looking forward to my next, easier to serve, pot of low country boil!

I use it to submerge small parts into industrial chemical paint stripper. It’s holding up well. I’m sure boiling water won’t hurt it!

It is a perfect fit for my Bayou Classic 30qt pot. I guess there is no question about fitment when it is the same brand.The basket is sturdier than the other ones I've seen. It is a testament to the brand. The 30qt pot is VERY STURDY!!!

Bought the basket for a seafood boil and it was perfect. Seems very sturdy and durable. Great value.
