At first, I was like, what kind of shaving cream is this? It did not apply as thick as I wanted it to and I felt cheated because I was used to a gel that really covered my face to the point where I could not see my light beard and or skin where applied. It took me a few shaves to figure out the best way to use this cream is not the same as the gel that I have used in the past. This cream does not work like that and at first I was applying more and more cream. This shaving cream is designed to last longer and is smoother when shaving. Therefore, it doesn't surprise me that some have experienced a burning sensation after the fact because you are probably used to shaving the same area more frequently with a gel that doesn't allow the blade to shave as well, which means you are actually cutting the same area even more with this blade and cream. My recommendation would be to cut back on the amount of times you hit the same area by a stroke or two when using this cream and blade. Hope that helps!

This shave cream doesn't lather up at all like other shave creams. It is smooth as long as your face has plenty of water on it. It is also not so easy to remove from the razor when rinsing. It seems for stick to the blades and razor. I am using this with a DE safety razor and will switch back to regular shave soap when this is used up. Won't be buying it again.
