Princeton Tec Remix LED Headlamp (300 Lumens, Tan w/Red LEDs) (RMX300-RD-TN)

These lights are great for pretty much anything from hiking to reading maps during rucks. The light is 450 lumen so it's pretty bright and it have red light so you can read maps without exposing yourself too much. It takes standard AAA so you won't ever have problems sourcing batteries.I read other reviews that the battery door is a weak spot that tends to break a lot but so far I haven't have problem with that yet but for $35 I would consider it a consumable that needs replacing every 6-12 months.But ya it works great so don't hesitate to get one (or two if you are worry about the battery door) and use it.

I bought my first one of these for the red light to preserve my night vision when using my telescope. Works great and the two different levels of red light output are very handy as there are times I just want to see a little, and times I want to see a lot! I'm also a hunter and bought another for my pack as I usually hike in during the dark hours of the morning and don't want to spook any game. Again, this worked great having the ability to use it for going in before sunrise with a dimmer red light, and packing out after sunset with a wonderfully bright white light. Sturdy and the switch has the right amount of pressure to not allow it to turn on unless you truly intend to (an issue I've had with other lights and found my new batteries dead!).

I can’t say enough good things about Princeton Tec and their headlamps. I’ve got several and plan to buy more. These lights don’t run the batteries down quickly like other brands. The quality of light is excellent and the build quality of the light is very good FOR THE PRICE. Sure there are heavier duty head lamps, but I can buy 3 of these for the price of one of those. However, you won’t need too. I’ve got a Princeton Tec head lamp that I have been using at least 3 times a week for the last 4-5 years without issue. It’s in my truck at all times and it works when I need it too. I swap out the batteries every so often, but I’ve never had the batteries die while in use. Buy one of these, you won’t regret it.

This headlamp is small, light, and easy to use. The white light could be brighter but it gets the job done.My son is a soldier and he needed to use my headlamp recently for a three-day drill. What's nice is that it starts with the red light to preserve night vision. He got so much use out of it that he refused to give it back and I was forced to buy another for me.

This is my third one of these. I continue to buy them because they are reliable and I need them in different places - one in the car, one in my toolbox and one with my camping gear.

The "About this item" section states, "Burn time - Up to 17 hours of runtime off of a single lithium CR123 battery". This information is completely false... This headlamp only takes AAA batteries (3). It is not dual fuel.Second issue. It claims to have an IPX4 rating. (Ingress Protection) the first number represents protection against solid objects such as dust and the second number represents protection against liquids such as water. X = 0. 4 = Protected against splashing water (water splashed against this device from any direction shall have no harmful effects). As you can see the battery compartment does not have a seal of any kind, it's just hard plastic against hard plastic.I left a picture of the manufacturer's claim of runtime.

I had used this in the field every night for a month It was brighter than all my buddies headlamps. It takes 3 AAA batteries and I didn’t have to change the batteries until about 2 weeks of night use.

When the power goes out or you're camping in the wilderness you need reliable light. The Princeton Tec Remix headlamp is one of the lights I keep handy. The Remix takes common batteries (3 AAAs) and has red and white light. On this model the red has two brightness levels, the has one. I like the coyote color option. Princeton Tec lights are made in the USA. No downside.

No es de muy buen material, llego con una fisura muy pequeña y en poco tiempo se extendio y rompioSin mucho uso ni sufrir caídas se sigue rompiendo

Likely this is the best headlamp I will ever own; it's very bright, takes up virtually no space, and has really good battery life. I bought this to replace my aging petzl, and so far its proved an excellent replacement/improvement.
