Q: what grade saffron is this?

I'm not sure about saffron grading, and I've purchased it only a few times, but it is the best quality that I have purchased. I have a bottle from Costco and this is much deeper red - makes Costco's look almost orangish. Sorry that I can't be of more help.

Q: I just bought this for the first time. Is it supposed to smell like the cork that closes the jar?

My cork smells like the saffron.

Q: Does it keep well and for how long? i have a friend moving away in a few months. can i order it now or should i wait until it's closer to the time?

I freeze it tightly enclosed and wad plastic wrap over the top of the threads to keep aromatics in and notice no deterioration in flavor for a couple of years.

Q: any one let me knoe the Exper Date? how many monthsvalied from date of packed?

saffron can last a few years if kept in a cool dark place in an air tight container
