Purchasing swords over the internet is always a bit of a risky proposition, since it can be very hard to tell exactly what you're getting even if the seller's description is entirely accurate. Happily, this sword set not only fulfilled the seller's claims, but exceeded my expectations in virtually every way.The blades are as described, full-tang carbon steel, excellently balanced, with a beautiful reddish-copper electroplating that should help to minimize the risk of rust. The tsuka (hilts) are sturdily wrapped with black cord over red highlights and the tsuba (hand guards) are of a simple but elegant black alloy design. All three blades fit snugly in their lightweight wooden saya (scabbards) that are finished in a very attractive black lacquer with dark red highlights.The swords were shipped in a very well-protected manner with ample padding; each sword was also individually wrapped both in plastic and a layer of bubble wrap. The blades were oiled before shipping, with a plastic sleeve covering each one inside its saya to minimize the risk of rusting or other damage from the elements.Also included with the set are three nice looking drawstring-type carrying bags, one for each sword, as well as a black, three-tiered desk-top display stand with velvet holders for each sword position. The display stand is made from solid wood; it arrived in three pieces that I had to assemble myself, but that was easy enough to do and the pieces are very close-fitting to ensure a sturdy result.This sword set is more expensive than a number of others here, but I've owned some of those cheaper ones and I can say with certainty that this set is well worth the extra cost. These are well-made, high-quality swords that, in my opinion, would still be a good buy at a significantly higher price. I am absolutely thrilled with this purchase.

Swords came packaged very well. The swords were sharp and look great. I have used them yet. I am very satisfied with them.

The swords are absolutely fantastic. the stand it comes with is not the stand in the picture. The stand it came with is a rickety piece of junk. The stand i got is black and basic pieces of wood that when put together are barely able to stand up without even putting the swords on it.
