Q: What height Re these at the highest Part? They look very flat.

I wear mine the other way around the straight part closest to my neck-works well. I s as lso attach to bra strap .

Q: What is hook and loop? not familiar with that. is this how it stays on? that is what i'm wondering about. please advise. thanks!

I think they're calling it hook and loop because it's Velcro - on the shoulder pad, there is a velcro strip where half the strip is sewn onto the pad and the other half is free so that you can slip your bra strap onto the pad and then take the loose end and press it onto the other end of the strip to secure the strap. Hope this helps!

Q: Are these invisible independent a T-shirt.

Yes, they are black or flesh tone. For black if you wore a black shirt or dark colored shirt you would not see them. For flesh tone if you wore light colors or a loose fit white t shirt you would not see them
