The stuff worked
I put three coats inside and out of the control box cover of my 16 foot sliding gate with this paint. The gate motor would not work under very hot weather and now I don’t that problem.

Great for shield protection
This stuff is so thick and works great to shield the sun from my bird boxes. Goes a long way too.

BUYER BEWARE....
Unless you are using this sealer as the white color it comes in there are additional $$$ involved to get it tinted to the color you really want. I asked the question about getting it tinted and I was told to go to a "paint store" as HD/Lowes will not tint paint they do not sell. Went to the paint store (SW) and they too will not tint paint they do not sell but they will sell you tint to do it yourself. However they only sell in gallons when I only need 12 ounces for two gallons. So that being said and $85 later (gave me the contractor price) and now I still have to mix the colors myself into the paint and hope it turns out to be the color I want. Would I buy this product again knowing what I know now? NEVER!!! But I was too far in to stop now. Lesson learned the hard way.

Amazing
I am totally amazed! Texas, Only 94 degrees. My deck was 142 degrees 6 inches up. 3 feet up was 138 degrees, Shaded. The next day I put 1 heavy coat on the wooden deck. The following day the temp was 97 degrees. 6 inches up at the same place and less shading 102 degrees. 3 feet up was 101 degrees. The grass was only 98 degrees. Pretty impressive! I figured some change but not just a few degrees above the actual temperature. I like to got out back barefoot as it is private, but never could without the deck burning my feet. My deck is 160 Square feet, I used the whole gallon but my wood was extremely dry and I put on a extra heavy coat.

Expect much more work than anticipated if not using a sprayer for application.
OK, the jury is still out to some extent on the effectiveness of the product. It's the product application process and the related instructions that can be a bit tough to follow although I got somewhat of a better explanation through the CS department versus the printed instructions. This product requires much more preparation of the surface for application than originally anticipated. I decided to try the application process on an approx 2 sf section of a powdercoated metal door that attracts heat and sunlight light like honey draws flies as this door faces west in south Florida. First there was two medium coat applications of name-brand spray primer on a lightly sanded surface, allowing for full 48 hr cure between primer coats, scuffing between coats. Then four coats of roller applied Cool Coat with 2 days of curing and scuffing between each coat; still think yet another coat will be needed to be sure. So now it's been about 10 days just to figure out the best method for application before committing to the entire door. I do not however expect that once the best process has been determined that it will take nearly as long to complete the entire door. Finally, couple things - the paint can does not have a handle like most gallon paint cans have. I do my mixing and pouring with the gallon can inside a larger bucket to catch spills, drips and splashes, having a handle to take it in and out of the larger container would help and at ~75 a gallon I don't think it too much to ask the manufacturer to use containers with handles. Finally, if the company thinks a spray application will yield optimal results why don't they produce this product in spray cans as well?In the end I think it will work out with lots and lots of patience and a commitment of time, hopefully the product will perform as expected after all that.

Very nice product
This is a great product. I had my reservations it would work as well as described. But, science. It's a strange consistency, like super watery milk. You can paint it on but spraying is best. Just two coats. I used it on homemade concrete candle holders and it really did a great job.
