These might not be the cheapest almonds but they have a texture that I really like (slighlty softer than some others, making them easy to eat whole), and they're reliably in good condition.

Arrived neat and dried

I tried different organic almonds. I by far love these the most. They are organic, untreated, AND did not travel round the globe, but come from Spain. Their taste is creamy and just delicious. They are slightly softer than the omnipresent Californian ones but this perfect for making almond milk or almond nut butter as I do. They turn into a wonderful almond milk and I feel very luxurious every morning when I pour my home made almond milk over my muesli. I keep buying them again and they never disappoint.

Great nuts. Raw organic almonds seem to be a rarity. There are, however, a few nasty nutsbin there, which will destroy your palet in a heartbeat. So definitely knocking a star off for that. But not bad for the money.

These almonds are the real thing. ( I have recently made various dishes with almonds from California and find them virtually tasteless.) Spanish almonds are full of sunshine, and have a rich nutty taste which makes them great for salting, peeling and then roasting, grinding up for cakes, using in curries. When I'm on holiday in Spain I usually bring back kilos of them, shelled but unpeeled so they keep all their freshness - now, with the pandemic when no travelling is possible, this organic brand is the answer. Great stuff.

Despite some poor reviews in the past couple of years for this product, I thought I’d try these with reasons being it’s a new year and surely a different batch. But unfortunately the quality is still poor. It seems a bad batch of bitter nuts are mixed in with some good ones so it’s a matter of Russian roulette when you eat them. They are really bitter so then only recourse is to throw them all out. The pack has a long expiry date so I didn’t open the pack straight away and 30 days have passed since I placed the order and now I’m unable to return it back to Amazon. So lesson learned here.

These almonds have a lovely flavour but there are many many extremely dry shrivelled and hard almonds mixed in with the plumper ones. I ended up discarding about 30% of the bag.

Great to be able to purchase Organic Almonds grown in the EU. Always a high quality nut, wouldn’t dream of shopping for this outside of Europe :)
