Durability & Looks Great
Very nice knife. I like the grip, size and just everything about this knife for a great price. Blade will shave arm hair right out of the box. Action of assist is very smoth and blade is center when folded away. Locking mechanism works great and takes some force to unlock to fold blade away. They knife is mechanically well built in my opinion. I am very happy with this purchase.

extreme value
this is one of my favorite affordable knives. the action is fantastic (runs on steel bearings). the blade is a full flat grind and is pretty thin behind the edge. this makes for an excellent slicey blade. it also has a rather thin tip for detail work (good for edc, not for hard use) it has a good thumb ramp with jimping that actually works. it has a deep carry clip that is rather effective, though some people think it's ugly (i don't mind it). Finally, it's made of 14c28n steel which is a big standout in this price range. testing of this steel shows it is pretty competitive with vg-10. for 36 dollars it's hard to beat this one.

Great knife, great price
First off, this is a large knife. It's hefty, it's chunky, it's got a bit of that scary looking blade stigma going, and you know it's in your pocket. All that aside, it's great. The action is incredibly smooth. The blade has a great look and feel to it. Came plenty sharp. The g10 scales look fantastic. My one complaint might be that they rounded off the edges more on the scales. That's minor though. This knife closely resembles some Real Steel knives with the same blade shape, size, and scale colors and materials. Highly suspect RS is responsible for the assembly of these. The quality is definitely there. I would love some new color combinations for the scales. Some reds or oranges would look great with the black or blue.

GORGEOUS G10 Handle Makes This An Excellent "Dress" Knife
::This review is for the RUIKE Fang P105-Q Knife::First & foremost, I have to talk about that handle: Man, is it pretty! It has good texturing & ergonomics but feels a bit unfinished. By that I mean it seems like they didn't "Bake in" any sort of sealing agent, so the handle might get grimy easily & I wouldn't expect the handle's finish to keep its luster for long if this were to be an everyday carry knife. Keep in mind, this is my unproven opinion/observation & could very well be way off the mark. I have no intention to test that hypothesis simply because, while this is no doubt a very pretty & perfectly functional knife, it will not be among the rotations of my everyday carry knives. The reason being it lacks an important feature for me to carry it everyday, that feature being any kind of assisted opening mechanism. As I frequently only have one hand free when I require the use of my knife at any given time, any EDC knife has to be an assisted open or automatic. That's not to say that the ball bearings utilized in the pivot point aren't capable. The blade glides open on them relatively smoothly (if a bit slowly unless the handle is turned such that gravity helps with blade deployment) & lockup is solid with zero side to side movement of the blade when open. The thumb groove on the spine of the blade has nice jimping, ensuring a solid grip & helping add leverage when needed, which is a nice feature. The Rockwell Hardness is 58-60 & the edge is flat ground; neither of these specs are actually listed on the spec sheet, I had to track them down & write them on the spec sheet. I don't know the angle the blade is ground to, but it shouldn't be hard not to compromise the edge if you keep it maintained with a leather strop. The Swedish Sandvik 14C28N blade steel is a decent enough steel: with better than average corrosion resistance thanks to the addition of Nitrogen, is easy to sharpen & the edge can be made extremely sharp, however, the trade off comes in retaining that edge: edge retention is below average, so maintaining the edge is in your best interest. This can easily be done through the use of a leather strop immediately after using the knife. To obtain a wickedly sharp edge, a process called "Steeling" is unconventional & requires a bit of bravery & practice, ideally with a "less critical" knife as the blade must be taken to a smooth steel rod. Look up some reputable sources if you are interested in learning more about it. It works well & is something I use on some knives on occasion. Or at least I DID, before I got a strop.***EDIT/UPDATE: I've noticed that the blade has somehow gotten some scratches on it, with basically zero hard use. 95% of the time the knife sits closed in its box & has seen little use except for some basic sharpness testing slicing through paper with a range of thicknesses between receipt paper on one end & standard computer printer paper on the other. Glossy magazine/catalog paper (such as out of date Musician's Friend catalogs & the like or lately a leftover bridal magazine). The blade has never had any contact with anything tougher than printer paper. Cardboard has never been touched with the blade, yet there are a couple of very clear scratches that seem to draw the eye. Something to be aware of. Using a bit of Flitz Metal Polish helped a little bit. Unsurprisingly, it didn't remove the scratches like the product claims that it can do, but it did make them a little less noticeable & less likely to draw your gaze to them, I assume by filling in the microscopic channels with tiny metallic particles. Also, the action of the knife has smoothed out.I do like this knife, particularly the aesthetics. The handle, the pocket clip as well as the shape of the blade, all add up to a unique knife that is perfectly suited as a "Dress Knife." What's that mean? Put it this way: had I purchased this knife before my wedding, it likely would have been in my pocket & the one in the wedding "Details" photos."Never go anywhere without a knife." It's my number one rule since the age of 12 & I usually have at least two on me at any given time, a folder & a fixed blade. Both tools have individual roles for different jobs. It's worth mentioning that Ruike Knives is owned by my favorite illumination manufacturer, Fenix Lighting but that does not have any influence regarding my viewpoint or review of this knife, simply an interesting factoid. Fenix Lighting makes phenomenal flashlights (I own 4 different models, two were given as gifts to my wife & she loves them) & their customer service is top-notch. The rechargeable batteries Fenix makes are quite stellar as well. If the customer service, attention to detail, and philosophy of making functional, reliable & long-lasting tools you can count on carries over (as I'm sure it does) then Ruike has a bright future indeed. No pun intended.

The p105 is like taking a good looking female lumberjack to a party
The p105 is like taking a good looking female lumberjack to a party, it’s a real head turner but it’s not just jewelry. Great looking spear point blade with a satin finish that will take a high shine, which I like. It’s not a small folder, but the deep carry clip and the narrowing of the handle towards the rear of the knife allow it to stay out of the way for reaching in your pocket. The flipper takes about as much pressure as you would use to scratch your nose to deploy with a very solid feel, sound, and lockup. The trailing edge of the liner lock on mine sits flush with the edge of the blade, maybe a little more, and there is no blade play. The knife came sharp and this steel is corrosion resistant, I’ve had other knives with 14c28n. I always add a few knives to my collection in the winter, and I’m going to try more Ruikes. I bought this knife full price, and recommend it.

Perfect!
This is my 2nd Ruike knife, and i am even more inpressed now. The first is the green handle hassar i think its called, and that was awesome. I was debating on getting this knife but i am glad i did. Fit and finish is perfect. Centered perfect. Bevels even. Pretty sharp, but i put all my knives on my kme and sharpen down to .3 m so it doesn't matter how sharp they are new to me. For those that do care and have no sharpening system, it shaves hair off my arm right out of box. The ball bearing washers make it insanely smooth to open and enjoyable. The liner lock has a perfect lockup dead center. I will buy the other ruike models soon. Plus 14c28n has about the same edge retention test of vg10 for those of you who just dont know much about it. And i have many of both and agree. Buy it you will be pleasantly surprised!

The Steel is the Real Star of the Show
I had never had a knife with 14C28N steel before... I will be seeking out more of them! It takes a hair-splitting razor edge with little effort, and holds an edge reasonable well. This steel, IMO, is a virtual match for VG-10.The flipper is relatively smooth and works quite well, the handle is chunky and well-contoured for a comfortable grip for even long jobs, and I am pleased to say that this is possibly the greatest bargain in a large flipper knife of all time.
