PERFECT FOR THE PRICE, IF YOU UPGRADE THE BATTERY
As most reviews have stated, this is a pretty solid replica with subpar battery life. For the price, it's pretty good, but if you know how to upgrade the battery, do it! It comes with an 800 mAh battery, I'm going from that to a 1200mAh took the battery life from 4 hours max to an easy 6+ hours. WARNING: WATCH THE POLARITY! I used a 1200mAh 3.7V Li-Po sourced from Adafruit (PKCELL 503562) which has a built in PCM in addition to the reg circuit. Since the controller uses a standard JST connector, the battery is ALMOST perfect; the polarity needs to be reversed (JST connectors use plastic catches to secure the terminals, but remove carefully, And be sure to push the catches back down after removing the pins, and before reinserting them, AND DON'T SHORT THE TERMINALS!)You'll also need to remove the barriers on the battery tray (which seems like the battery tray from a dualshock 4 controller) and sand it flat, because this battery overhangs a slight bit, and I used two iPhone battery pull tabs so that the battery wouldn't sit too high up. Also be careful when you are removing the barriers, on the left hand side especially, because if you are not careful you can easily snap off the retention bracket, then you'll have to use double-sided Tesa tape to secure the tray, which is what happened to me. But that was my fault. Connect the flex that's goes to the microUSB port, and test everything before closing. In the pictures the wires are running underneath the tray, that is not how I did it in the end, they just go over the battery, there's plenty of room inside of the controller so that nothing gets pinched, running them under the battery was a little too tight of a fit. The specific battery that I used does have pretty long leads, so you could always shorten the leads if you want. Do not attempt this if you don't know what you're doing, lithium batteries can be angry things, and they will get extremely mad when not shown proper respect, but if you do know what you're doing, or even have a small amount of experience with electronics, this is an extremely simple upgrade that can take this controller from 3 or 4 stars, to an easy 5. The price is what seals the deal for me, and the specific battery that I used costs around $10, so you're still paying a lot less than you would with other controllers. I have been absolutely hammering this thing, and so far so good. She's been through about 5 or so charge cycles, and the first two I removed the back panel and measured voltage just to be sure that the integrated charging chip wasn't overcharging the battery, which if it was that would tell me the PCM wasn't working, but everything was perfect, with the controller's on-board charging circuit (probably a TP4056) cutting the charging at 4.2V.As far as a controller itself, performance is absolutely fine, completely acceptable, buttons have plenty of travel and don't feel squishy like some cheap controllers, and the shoulder triggers are responsive and springy. Pairing was a breeze, no issues there, and I've paired it with several devices, consoles, my PC, an Android device, and an iPad, no issues with any of them. It's not as rigid as more expensive controllers, but that's to be expected at this price point, and as long as you're not beating it against the wall, or having a violent rage quitting moment, you should be fine.Latency is fine, I couldn't notice anything that threw up any red flags, no lag at least on my unit, and the controller remains responsive and definitely feels pretty close to an OEM controller, or as close as you're going to get at this price point. So far I have no complaints. I will post an update after a few months, and I will definitely update this review and let y'all know if the button travel turns squishy, and I will also update this review regarding my battery upgrade mod and how she's holding up after a few months.

Near perfect PS4 clone compatible with PS3!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Excellent quality controller. Aside from the obviously not-Sony controller markings, the fit, form, and functionality feels exactly the same as my imported genuine Sony Japan controller. I actually use this one more than my genuine controller.Plus side of this controller is it is a generic bluetooth connection, meaning it works with just about anything bluetooth compatible. Works PERFECT for my PS3 as well, which is super nice over the smaller size of the PS1-3 controllers and the quality of this controller is better than aftermarket PS3 controllers.

PS4 controller works as advertised
I needed a third controller for my ps4 slim to play couch co-op games and this third-party ps4 controller works just as it's advertised. Syncing the controller to the ps4 was quick and easy. The ps4 detected the controller almost immediately after turning it on. Battery life so far is decent. There's only a usb-c port for the charging so keep this in mind.

Try
Should have listened to the negative reviews. This controller had a lot of positive reviews so I ignored the negative and thought I'd give it a try. Fully charged it did sync to my system without a problem via the cable but after that it was all downhill. Randomly disconnect from the system also the controller lag is horrible. It did have a good feel to it and didn't feel cheap but the controller lag made it impossible and of course having to reconnect it every 30 seconds to a minute was annoying. There's a reason why it's cheap.

Worth the buy worked well as a replacement
Bought as an inexpensive replacement to my controller when the stick drift got so bad that every relaxing the parts didn’t help. The controller works well but has a few minor bugs one being that it won’t always turn on the system and sometimes the system won’t turn off if the controller is on which is weird to navigate but it’s only done that like 3-5 times of the bazillion I’ve used it so…

Cord is very short.
I needed this to replace the one that died. I prefer cord to cordless. I am not using this as a cordless controller. Coming with a cord that is 3 feet and I'm being generous here, is very much a disappointment. I know it's supposed to be a cordless or wireless controller and I can disconnect it and sit wherever I want, but I prefer a cord. I'd give it five stars if it had a decent cord of say 6 feet. That's better than one star per foot. Since it's only about 2 feet I'm gonna give it 3 1/2 stars I suppose. Why did I even buy this? I use my PS4 as a Blu-ray player. Getting up and walking across the room to use the controller to pause. The video or start the video or rewind. The video is annoying. I know, disconnect the wire and just use it wirelessly. The last controller I had got disconnected from its wire and now I can't find it. That's why I like wires. This one is not hardwired. I know I could've bought one that is hardwired and avoided this complaint entirely. But it looks to be better Made than some of the really poor quality ones. It feels good in the hands. It's about the right size for hands. It's got the touchpad on top. It's got some sort of audio jack that I will never use. I have no idea how good the battery life is on it. I hate batteries. Batteries are designed to die and be replaced. And since they're built into the device when the battery dies, you just throw it get another one. I do not like that kind of waste.

Better Than Original
Bought 2 and they work great. No connection loss when using wirelessly. Worked right away with PS4 after using a usb cable. Comes with updated usb-c port. The vibration fells better than the original controller we had. Fits perfect in your hands just like OEM.
