A great moisturiser for dry eyes and good value for money I is also very easy to use

Carbo-Fresh Carbomer 0.2% Lubricating Eye Gel 10 ml £7.99Once in the eye the Carbo-Fresh does its job. Now firmly established in my 70s I suffer from dry eyes plus an allergy that conversely makes my eyes water. The viscosity of the gel is excellent (you don’t want eye drops running straight out and not doing a job). I have found that when seeking to put a drop of the gel on my lower eye lid as I squeeze the tube (and not wanting to evacuate the entire contents) one drop emerges but it is reluctant to break free (see photograph). In trying to get the gel to drop as I shake the tube I end up touching my eye or it drops half on and half off the eye lid. I dare say after a while I will master the operation. The excellent viscosity is responsible for the difficult release – so you can’t have it both ways! As to price point – it is average. Overall four stars.

Dry eye lubricating gel. A 10ml tube. this seems to work OK, I am a little concerned though, having been told never to use any eye drops that are not preservative free, that this tube appears to be just this. Nowhere on the tube or leaflet can I see if it mentions being preservative free and includes the ingredients cetrimide and sorbitol. I'm not sure, it seems to work Ok and I haven't had any reaction to it so will continue using it. Just be aware if you are searching for preservative fre that this might not be. It is reasonably priced.

This eye gel is very good.It's a good quality product that works very well for me.It soothes and hydrates and causes no irritation, very easy to use.Highly recommend.

I have a cold and that combined with my CPAP machine means that my eyes are feeling dry and gritty. This gel does a great job of fixing that. Application is simple - hold the tube over your open eye and drop a blob in. It is a gel, rather than a liquid, so it does cause an initial bit of blurred vision, but a few blinks soon resolves this. I didn't experience any stinging or other unpleasant sensations when using these drops. The result was immediate. The hot, dry, grittiness was immediately replaced by a cool sensation - much like the feeling when you put aloe vera on dry skin. My eyes felt lubricated and soothed. It has lasted for a good couple of hours so far.
