An Unexpectedly Great Find for Archers
I recently added this recurve bow by Shatterproof Archery to my gear, and it’s become a favorite. Right from the start, the bow feels well-made and reliable. The attention to detail in the craftsmanship is apparent, and it’s clear that Shatterproof Archery has put significant effort into ensuring a quality product. One of the first things I noticed was how comfortable the grip is. It's designed to fit naturally in the hand, which makes handling it much more manageable, even during extended shooting sessions. The bow's balance is just right, and it draws smoothly, allowing for consistent shots each time.Shooting with this bow has been a delight. The 45 lb draw weight is perfect for my needs, providing enough power without being too demanding. It’s a versatile choice that works well for target practice and hunting. The bow's performance has been consistently reliable, with a steady and accurate aim that has significantly improved my shooting experience. The bow's aesthetics are also worth mentioning. Its black finish gives it a sleek and modern look while maintaining a classic recurve bow style. It’s a piece of equipment that performs well and looks great.Durability is another strong point. This bow feels solid and seems built to last. It has handled various weather conditions without issues, showing no wear or damage. This resilience makes it a dependable choice for outdoor activities.Assembling the bow was straightforward, and it came with clear instructions. The process is manageable and quick even for someone who might not be very experienced with assembling archery equipment. This recurve bow by Shatterproof Archery is a fantastic addition to any archer’s collection. It combines quality craftsmanship, excellent performance, and a sleek design, making it a standout option. If you're in the market for a reliable and effective recurve bow, this one is worth considering.

Good quality, factory-inspected beginner recurve bow
This is my first western-style recurve bow (I practice japanese archery) and I have heard good things about Shatterproof in the past so this was an easy choice to pick up.There's a few things that stood out here:- They factory inspect and test each bow for draw strength and write it on the side of the bow itself. Apparently many bows can be off by up to 30%!- This comes with a very cool flemish twist bowstring. I don't know enough about how much better it is than an endless loop but it's comfortable to shoot and looks neat.- Also included is a second (loop) bowstring and string silencers.Assembling the bow was easy peasy despite the lack of instructions. Got it strung thanks to my local archery shop. What I didn't realize is how many other things I needed to shoot and how expensive they were (6 arrows, wrist guard, shooting glove, target, etc cost as much as the bow). That said, this is very easy to shoot, seems to be fairly accurate, in that I shot nearly all the arrows equally off-target to the left, promptly losing 4 of 6 in the heavy forest growth.Once I compensated my aim for my lack of skill, I found that this shot true and powerfully despite only being a 25 pound draw.I like this bow a lot and am looking forward to shooting with it more!

Nice Bow
This is my first recurve bow but I've owned and shot compound for many years. I've always wanted to try recurve and with this nicely priced product I am able to. It comes with limbs and grip disassembled but easily assembles with provided bolts and tightening tool. It can be a little challenging getting the bow strung unless you buy the tool that assists in that; otherwise there is a good chance of hurting yourself if you let the string slip off. I recommend either getting a bow press or bow string attachment assist strap. Once assembled it looks and shots nice. Do your research to find the proper arrows and other accessories needed to fully enjoy this box, it comes with nothing more than the bow and string set. It is very well made and fun to shot.

Nice imported beginner bow, with some minor accessories, and a USA made bowstring. Pricey.
The Inspected Black Hunter Recurve Bow by Shatterproof Archery .This is a very nice, basic, no-frills take-down recurve bow for beginners or anyone who wants to shoot a smooth, well-made bow. It appears to be imported, I would guess from either China or South Korea, and includes some accessories, including a "Made in USA" Flemish twist bowstring. And, it is described as "inspected and tested in the USA". It is available in several draw weights to choose from, I ordered the right-hand 35 lb. draw weight, and checking the draw with a bow scale at about 28" confirmed that. The included Flemish twist bowstring is very nice and seems well made with two end loops, except for the serving for the nock area The Serving was applied low on the bowstring, not centered in the nocking area/zone. I turned the bowstring upside down so the "Top" loop was at the bottom and the serving was then more-or-less in the correct area. Also included was the imported "endless loop" style bowstring (16 strand), a hex wrench for the limb bolts, two fur string silencer strips and two "calf hair" adhesive-backed arrow rest pads, which are very thin and flat, not like the fluffy high rests shown in the description photos. I use a different style of felt arrow rests, so I will not be using these supplied ones. It did NOT include the "(two pack) Recurve Bow Limb Silencers" shown in the description.Overall, a nice basic bow. Although it does not have any threaded bushings/inserts for adding arrow rests, dampeners, etc. in the riser. It does not have a brass nocking knuckle for the bowstring. It does not include any assembly instructions or other literature. The price seems high for a very basic imported bow with few accessories or extras.Search "Black Hunter Take down bow" on Amazon for product comparisons.
