Useful!
Excellent patch panel for the modern network. More than enough ports for the average use and quite easy to keep neat and organized for the OCD person. Easy to setup and use with existing cables and requires less tools to setup since you don't need a punch tool

Almost 5 Stars....
While this patch panel is of decent quality, I would have expected a company like Cable Matters to provide a bit more. The patch panel is not constructed of the thickest gauge metal. The cable tie bar arms that secure it into the panel itself are your typical somewhat flimsy metal that bend easily. Don't get me wrong, they will work just fine but I have reviewed a few other patch panels that used the same attachment method yet felt far more like they were one piece because the gauge of metal they used was thicker. Anyway, the keystone jacks pass 10Gbps and I do like the chrome accents. All depends on what else is in your rack really. Comes with grounding strap and velcro ties which is great. Overall, not a bad panel for the price at time of review.

The new centrepiece of my server rack
I got this patch panel to replace a punch-down panel that I have had for about four years now (also by Cable Matters). Although it has shielded Cat6a keystone couplers, I wanted to put in shielded Cat6a keystone jacks. I was able to do just that and distribute the couplers to other patch panels where they’re doing a fantastic job. This has been a really joy though. It turned out exactly how I wanted it to, and it’s holding everything beautifully and safely. I do kind of wish that the back bar on it had those neat clips, but this is made with permanence in mind, so it’s for zip ties instead. The build quality is solid with ample shielding and a nice pigtail ground to keep everything running safely and smoothly. It does exactly what I need it to with no muss or fuss, and I’m able to integrate multiple types of keystones without issue. It can accommodate any size you throw at it - a benefit of a shielded panel.Overall, I’m very happy with this, and it has been a decided upgrade to my cabling situation at home. It’s also a solid value with all the keystones that come with it!

Exceptional Patch Panel
Cable Matters always seems to makes great stuff, and I find the quality of this patch panel quite excellent!First off, if you just need a panel of CAT6a connectors, it comes fully assembled and ready to put in place. Couldn't be easier. You still have the option of popping out some of the keystones and putting in your own if you want.I like the quality of the construction. Very solid without any flex. The mounting ends are bare metal, which compliments the shielded metal keystones that came with it. The four 6-port bays are a mat black, which I quite like. This model has the standard paper strip under a plastic protector for labeling. They have other panels with the painted areas over each port if you prefer to use a label printer. They didn't skimp on the grounding wire. It's 15 inches long and will reach the grounding bolt without extra wire in my particular rack. The cable support frame feels sturdy and allows a strap/tie for all 24 cables. While I wouldn't mind the tool-free cable holders found on some panels, it's not a deal breaker.

Excellent patch panel -- the complete kit!
This is basically everything you need to get a patch panel installed and wired in your rack, well minus the patch cables themselves and the wiring runs. The unit comes pre-assembled with shielded Cat6A keystone, has a ground wire, rack nuts, cable ties, and even some paper labels to organize your patch cables. Everything included feels solid and high quality, especially the patch panel itself.Installing this onto my rack was easy, as was connecting up my cable runs to the back of the unit and adding patch cables to my switch, all the RJ45 connections feel solid -- I love that each of them is shielded, which is probably overkill for a homelab but hey, why not?I think a unit like this that's well made and feels solid, and comes pre-assembled is better for most people than having to manually punch down terminations or fiddle around with installing their own keystones, etc. If all you want to do is get your Ethernet runs connected to your switch, this is the perfect thing to buy. I would happily recommend this to others, and would say that the pricing is fair -- if you're in the market for something like this, get it!

Excellent product
Tossed it into my main rack because I have a mixture of keystone jacks and standard cables. For example I have my printer in that room and prior to this I just had the cable hanging in the front of the rack right to the printer. It looked bad, and was an annoying hazard to get around when I was working in the room. I had a couple more items like my home automation box, raspberry pi etc etc. With the passthrough keystones installed in this patch panel I was able to route the wires behind the rack, into the patch panel and then patch up to the front of the switch nice and clean. Looks much better, and less stuff poorly hanging around.
