Installed on my Troy Bilt Pony, 17.5 hp Briggs & Stratton Intek. Purchased a different carb first that was like my factory one, didn’t work, so I bought this one.The problem with the Briggs Intek motors are the fuel cut off solenoid, terrible design. You can get just the solenoid, but I wanted a whole new carburetor, and for the price it’s worth it.I chose this one because it does not have a fuel cut off solenoid. I installed a fuel cutoff switch on the fuel line anyway for when not in use.Worked great and fired right up, and ran strong the whole time.This WILL work if you have a Walbro 4993 carb. Fitment is fine, and ditch that stupid fuel solenoid!

Ordered this carb after ordering a different more expensive one... The more expensive one flooded...this cheaper one works fine..

Installed on large town behind mower with single cylinder. 12.5hp Briggs and Stratton engine. Works perfect starts easy now. Much more cost effective to just buy a new carb vs try n rebuild the old ones these days. Just go with new. Cant beat the price .

Good alternative to rebuilding the Nikki carb that comes on your single cylinder Briggs motor. Fits well but you may need to modify the intake tube where the choke butterfly could possibly hit.

I picked up this Cub Cadet riding mower with an L-Head 10.5 HP I/C Briggs and Stratton motor without a carburator. It took me a few tries to get the right carb - matching the engine model IS NOT ENOUGH! I ordered a NIKKI carb that had the right engine and carb part number from the parts manual, but the engine was starving for gas and hunting. This carb also matched on the primary carb model from the parts manual and the sub model (i.e. LMT-162, 165, 166). I had to snip a plastic nib off the choke actuator to clear the airbox, but then It started on the first crank and runs perfectly out of the box without further adjustment!

Works right out of the box, the needle valve failed after 18 months so I bought another one. so far so good

This carb fit great and my Ariens riding mower starts with choke instead of having to use starting fluidlike I did with Nikki carb.
