Type 1 to Type 2 EV Charging Adapter, Electric Vehicle Charging Adapter (SAE J1772 to IEC62196) 32A 8KW for Type 2 Electric Vehicles Conversion Converter

My EV Charger was installed in 2015, and only Type 1 was available at the time. This worked fine when I had my Outlander PHEV. After moving to a Mark 2 Nissan Leaf, I was not happy to understand it had a Type 2 port as this meant (a) buying and paying for a new charger to be installed (b) selling all my existing cables.This device solved the issue, and charges at the full 7kW which is much needed with the larger Leaf battery.Although expensive, it's does feel solid and does lock into place.

Works and is well made. so much easier than getting an electrician to modify our home charger from when we had a Leaf Mark 1. A life saver.

Looks well made and worked well

No fuss connection. Fits well and carries the charge without problems. Sturdy design.

Absolute rubbish! Would have been no stars, but I couldn't select none!! One pin wasn't connected through. I sent a message to the seller and they didn't even bother to acknowledge my message, Sent back.

Used last night and charged perfectly. Feels a good quality.

The charger adapter was exactly what I needed to be able to charge my BMW i3 at type 1 charging locations .Works well.

Seems like a very solid and sturdy adapter, very simple to fit and secures well to both the charging cable and car charge port. Delivered in less than a day from order and worked as expected when tested on a Type 1 Podpoint chargepoint. Will see how well it lasts but build quality seems very good and it’s only for occasional “get out of jail” use anyway.
