As a medical professional please do research on the safe way to use this before you actually use it. There is a risk of choking if you are not using appropriate light or securely fashion the end piece. However I've tried to remove my own stones myself with other manual methods and because I have a horrid gag reflex I either end up just gagging or throwing up when using swabs and depressors. This suction device when used with care and proper placement will get the stones out. Be sure to do a mouth rinse and brush your teeth after. Drink water after usage as well.

Could have been user error but his shattered upon first use. Thank God it wasn’t in my mouth!! It was returned.

This is an amazing product. I am super picky with my teeth and mouth hygiene but suffer from a lot of sinus which also cause tonsil stones. This tool is the best thing ever. Brings many attachments and very easy to clean them. Easy to put the attachments on and to remove them. Battery life is great. I’ve only charged it once so far and have used it multiple times. The different tool shapes are helpful to get to the right position. This is a highly functional tool and highly recommend it.

You get quite a few things with a set. There's the electric, rechargeable tonsil stone remover which has two glass tips, bent and straight. You get a small mirror. You get extra o-rings and sponges for the electric tonsil stone remover. There's a syringe that you can use to wash your tonsils. There's a tongue depressor. There's a light. Finally, there is a short charging cord. Apart from the contents list, the instructions only mention the electric tonsil stone remover along with a single mention of using the syringe to rinse your tonsils. I am not entirely sure how I am expected to use the light that comes with this. The light has an approximately 6" flexible stem with a USB end. You'll need to find a USB port to plug the light into.The tonsil stone remover uses a vacuum. They repeatedly tell you to test it out on the back of your hand before trying the back of your throat. I got the set because I periodically get extremely annoying tonsil stones. I don't have any right now that are large enough to use this suction device on. I can't say how this would work on an actual tonsil stone, but I was using it in the back of my mouth to see if it pulled or hurt my skin. I had a hard time getting this device to apply any suction to the back of my throat at all because I have a bad gag reflex and, as I soon realized, for a vacuum to have much effect, it should be used on a flat surface. Because there are so many folds and contours in the back of my throat, it was hard to find a flat place without really applying pressure. I suspect that if you can control your gag reflex and get the tube to the back of your throat that this would work nicely to remove tonsil stones. For now, I am giving it four stars because it does vacuum as expected and I think this could be used to remove tonsilloliths. When I get another larger stone, I will update this review with more insight on how well it does remove a tonsil stone

I was very apprehensive, but desperate due the discomfort I was experiencing with tonsil stones. It was my last resort before seeking out medical intervention. The reviews on many of these weren’t the most consistent. I literally purchased this because it was one that I would receive the following day, and was I surprised by this thing. Never imagined these things could be sucked out. This device works amazing! It has great suction which is adjustable.If you are on the fence, buy it!
