Bought as a solo puzzle game
Very pleased with my purchase. Lovely thick cards. With the little expansion that's in the box , there is actually 130 ducks. ( 40 used for extra players , 10 used as wild standing in for other colours) it's all nice quality. Someone asked which way do the ducks face. From what I can gather it doesn't matter. It's colour combination you go for not direction. The rule book says the direction means the shape cannot be upside down, not the facing direction of the duck. Though I haven't played it yet. Bought it for a Christmas present from me to me. I shall probably change the spaceship for a normal draw bag, but that's just my personal preference. Really looking forward to playing this. The ducks are lovely. (I have now played this game solo, really plays well. Easy rules , but no walk in the park I don't think to win. But very satisfying and addictive. Would definitely recommend, anyway can't chat my ducks are waiting)

Nice gameplay, shame about the visuals
The mechanics of this game are relatively easy:Each player has a board in-front of them filled with random ducks of different colours. They each have three cards in hand they can play on their turn that allows them to manipulate the position of the duck on their own board or other players boards (it states on the card). There are three face up cards in the middle of the table with duck formations (dealt from a 12 card stack). On a player's turn they can play up to all three of their cards and if they manage to get their ducks to match a formation then they take that card. Each card has a certain number of victory points. The winning ducks are removed from the player's own board and all ducks swim down stream so all the empty spaces are at the start of the "stream" before random ducks are drawn and placed in the empty spaces. The game ends when all 12 of the scoring cards have been won.Despite being simple this is surprisingly hard to play. You have to mentally work out how your board will look after you take each action. Add to that other players can mess up your board before your next go, so you may have everything lined up for scoring points only for it to come crashing down. It is kind of fun, but also can be a bit infuriating.I like that there is a single player option and an expansion (included) for if you get bored of basic game play. The rules are reasonably well written. I would have liked a few more in-game examples. In a few minor instances I wasn't quite sure I was understanding the rules correctly, so had to essentially make a ruling and stick with it. More examples would have helped with this. There are also a lot of punctuation typos, which feel sloppy.I'm not really sure why the box says "deluxe edition" as I can't see any other editions. It feels a bit disingenuous. Additionally I found the artwork and typeface a bit cheap and not well thought out. I like playing pretty games and this is a bit on the ugly side to me. I've marked this four stars, mainly due to the visuals. I'm not entirely sure I will play this game often, but it wasn't half bad and I will be playing it again.

This is a great little game. The pieces are well made and the concept is very good. We have had lots of fun playing this.

Fun Game but Needs Improvement
The Family Strategy Dynamic Duck Hijacking Game is definitely a unique concept and adds a fun twist to family game night! Here are my thoughts after playing:Pros:• Interesting Gameplay: It’s a fresh, different type of game with a unique mix of strategy and action. Once you understand the roles and rules, it can be really engaging.• Good for Strategy Lovers: If you enjoy strategy games, this one has a lot of moments where your plans can be completely disrupted, which makes it fun (and sometimes a bit frustrating)!Cons:• Instructions Need Work: The instructions could use improvement—there are a few spelling mistakes, and the rules aren’t as clear as they should be. We had to play a couple of rounds to really figure it out.• Value for Price: At $29.99, I’m not sure it’s the best value compared to other games you can get for the same price. It’s fun but doesn’t feel quite worth that amount.Overall, it’s an enjoyable game once you get the hang of it, but it could use clearer instructions and might be a better deal at a slightly lower price.

Quick rounds, but not so quick to understand!
Looks great, fun colours and pieces and very simple to set up.Everything came with it, instructions were clearly written, with the odd spelling mistake! However, not so clear on how the ducks need to be facing, can they be in any direction or do they have to face one way when you set them up?Once you get the hang of it, moving and playing is quick fun. My 11 year old didnt like it because he didnt want to pay attention. But the parents and 14 year old had a great time shuffling ducks!
