Q: Is this food real small bites? Pedigree small bites is still a little big for my Xohi's mouth.

The nuggets are small, but I do not know how small Pedigree bites are, so cannot compare. I buy it for my largish Chihuahua (about 9 lbs) and she is comfortable with the size of the nuggets. It's the only dry dog food she likes. You might want to try moistening the food with a little warm water so it is softer for your dog. If Xohi still finds it too big, you can also try placing the nuggets between two sheets of wax paper or plastic wrap and then pound them with a meat tenderizer mallet, bottom of a fry pan or even a heavy can. Just pound them enough to break them up into smaller pieces for Xohi (not too much that you end up with powder!). I have done this with other small dogs and they then can eat the smaller broken up pieces just fine. Hope this helps.

Q: Do you feel good about the first ingredient being Corn? I thought this was a high quality food?

I asked my vet about this very thing. He informed me that a digestibility analysis is performed on all Royal Canine food’s ingredients and that RC is an excellent dog food, surpassing the industry standards. My second question related to allergies, and he responded that he’d been to a diet seminar as part of his continuing education, and of the common dog food ingredients analyzed by the seminar leaders, corn was lower on the “allergen risk” list than wheat, and evidently wheat was fairly low on the risk list, ranking around number seven. He didn’t really elaborate about the first six allergens, but assured me that RC’s dog food is a great choice.

Q: Is it manufactured in the USA?

Royal Canin says made in USA, the picture on here shows the ingredients in SPANISH because seller does NOT want people to figure out that CORN is first ingredient and used to be chicken. I can't believe it! Shes 10 years old & this is the first brand she eats!

My chi & teacup poodle is 10 years old & turned her head up to the finest money can buy her whole life. I cook her food . I thought I'd try 1 more time, shes 5 pounds & loves it , I have been shocked ! She eats about 4 1/2 cups a week! She's been looking better & feeling better, I didn't think she felt or looked bad until she ate this for 2 weeks & shes had more energy, a bit more sassy but it's funny. I'm not a paid person to do reviews, I absolutely will feed this to my Amelia the rest of her life. Shes never eat dog food in her life , but she loves this honest to God
