Really Nice Carry Fillet Knife! Sharp and Stable
This is a fantastic filet knife to have with you while camping, fishing, etc. Great to carry around on your trips. It's a long blade, which is convenient, but still foldable, so it's easy to bring along with you, and comes with a very nice carrying pouch. The lock on the blade is nice and secure, the handle is ergonomic and comfortable, and it has a nice weight to it as well so it doesn't feel flimsy. The blade itself is very sharp right out-of-the-box, and flexible so you can get that detailed work while using it. All in all, I'm very happy with this. Highly recommended!

Great Fishing Companion
This knife has a great heft, sharp blade and it's non-stick surface makes filleting a breeze. The fact that it folds is a terrific bonus!

Not for left handed people
Blade - thin and flexible, heavy right handed bevel on the edge. Looking at the blade, I don't think I could bevel it for a lefty without damage. Knife over all has a good feel for the price. Four stars taking into account price and over all feel. I'm returning the knife, I purchased a buck folding fillet knife, no comparison for the extra $10. Buck has a better feel, very solid lock with no play. Bevel is good for right and left handed. For something to throw in the tackle box, cut bait, clean fish and not feel bad if you lose it, this is a good blade.

Better than expected
I was pleasantly surprised when I unbound thos knife. It opens smoothly and locks in place firmly. There is very little play in the blade, and it was quite sharp, too.

Great knife for backpacking, canoeing, etc.
The pictures show this knife side-by-side with my beloved folding Buck brand knife that has accompanied me on multiple trips to the Canadian wilderness. They both have very comfortable rubberized grips, but I really like the contoured shape of the KastKing knife better. The Buck knife is build like a tank and weighs almost an ounce more than the KastKing, so only time will tell if the KastKing can withstand the abuse the Buck knife has over the years. It seems sturdy for as lightweight as it is.One major plus of the KastKing knife is that it comes with a very durable sheath with thick Velcro closure and a big accommodating belt loop on the back. I don't plan to carry this knife on my side, but it will definitely find itself attached to the outside of a backpack! We keep our fillet knife tucked away in a pack so it doesn't get lost - a nightmare on a 10 day wilderness trip when you eat fish daily - but the option to keep this knife safely external on a pack is going to be a nice alternative that I look forward to.As for cutting ability - I have not tested it, yet. In my experience, fillet knives all hold a sharp edge - its just a matter of how well the edge holds up to filleting pike and big lake trout day after day. My Buck knife uses 420J2 steel - which is pretty much crap for a fillet knife though extremely corrosion resistant. I have gotten good at sharpening it over the years though it is not fun. This Kastking is 416 stainless - which is superior to 420J2. The KastKing knife also has a slightly thinner blade, which makes it more flexible and easier to work with. This was not intended to be a comparison of 2 knives, but it seemed to be a easy way to review a knife I only recently bought as I have LOVED my Buck knife over the years and have even given several away as presents. But this KastKing at 30% cheaper, lighter, more portable, and made of superior steel is my new knife of choice.
