BOSCH POWER IN YOUR HAND
I love this cordless trim router. All the power of a corded without the cord to tangle you. Full power, fast (immediate) stop when turned off. Plus auto turn off if dropped for protection. All of this with Bosch quality.

Not the Wi-Fi Upgrade I Wanted, But the Woodworking Tool I Needed
Alright, so I ordered this router thinking I was about to seriously upgrade my home network. Thought I’d finally get that blazing fast connection, maybe even reduce lag, you know? But then I open the box… and, well—let’s just say this thing does NOT connect to the internet. At all. Not even a single blinking light. However, after recovering from my existential crisis, I discovered that while it won't boost my Wi-Fi, it does an excellent job cutting wood. Which, surprisingly, has its uses. Apparently, in the world of "routers"—which is now a word I’ll be double-checking every time I order something—this is one of the best. Solid build, easy to handle, and, unlike my actual network router, it does not require firmware updates (big win). The battery-powered feature threw me off at first (why does my new "router" have a battery?!), but turns out, mobility is nice when you're working with wood instead of Ethernet cables. No power cords, no hunting for an outlet—just grab it and go, which I guess would be cool if, again, I were actually doing woodworking and not trying to optimize my Wi-Fi signal strength. One small downside: only comes with a quarter-inch collet. Now, in my world, that would be like buying a router that only supports 2.4GHz and not 5GHz—annoying, but not a dealbreaker. I adjusted, set up a workaround, and now my woodworking setup is optimized, despite not being the upgrade to my network that I was expecting. But hey, it comes in a super nice case! Which I was originally hoping would contain an Ethernet cable or maybe some installation instructions, but instead keeps all the accessories neatly stored—so, you know, plus one for organization.Final verdict? Would not recommend if you're looking for better internet speeds. Highly recommend if you accidentally become a woodworker in the process.

Overall a great router
This isn't my first router. It's not even my first Bosch router. However, as a fundamentally lazy woodworker, I've gotten to the point at which I like to keep different routers set up for different purposes. One on plunge base, one mounted on my router table, one with a half-inch collet, one with a quarter-inch, and so forth. As such, I was pretty excited to add this one to my collection. And overall, I'm quite happy with it. It has the same high quality that I've come to appreciate in my other Bosch routers. Overall, it's quite easy to use (I might have put the clutch lever in a different spot but that's really my only complaint about user friendliness). And unlike my other models, it's battery powered, so it's easy to move around the shop. And though you probably never get QUITE the power from a battery router as from a plug-in one, it works great and the speed controls seem to give me a similar range of variability. The one thing I would have liked would have been if it came with both half inch and quarter inch collets instead of just the quarter-inch. I have quite a few bits that come in either size. Perhaps the battery-powered motor might not be up tot he larger ones or maybe they just didn't think it was necessary to include. So in my shop, I've set up a half inch collet on my other router and the quarter-inch one here so I can have either at hand without having to swap them out. But if you're looking to have only a single router in your shop, that's the one thing you might want to consider before deciding whether this is the one for you.Lots of extra credit, though, for the really nice and durable case it came in. That makes it a lot easier to store (and to keep all the accessories together) and adds just that extra bit of value.

High quality kit.
You never really know what your going to get when it comes to quality. Brand names don't seem to mean all that much anymore. I'm glad to report that this Bosch router lives up to the brand name. It's a high quality tool. Has a lot of power and is feature rich. It has precision depth adjustment, quick bit change, and some nice safety features like automatic shut off and drop detection. The kit is awesome. You get everything you need to get up and running. I always shake my head when I think that sometimes you get a tool and it doesn't come with a battery or charger. It makes no sense. No problem here. Like I said, you get everything you need. The plunge base works well. The case is great for carrying or storage. I'm super happy with this router kit. Five stars.

Not what I expected from Bosch
I have numerous Bosch corded as well as cordless tools and have been very happy with all of them however after patiently awaiting the release of this router to buy I was sorely disappointed. The fit/finish/features were excellent as usual as were the included dust collection accessories etc however as someone mentioned it sounded like it was defective right out of the box and had excessive vibration. I really like everything else about the router however I did not order a replacement rather I decided to wait for more reviews to see if maybe I just got a lemon or if there is a recurring issue. Hopefully more people will review so I can decide whether or not to buy it again.
