My wife suffers from severe dementia. It's very hard to keep her engaged in any activity, especially if it requires even a little concentration. The simplicity and the bright colors of this "paint with water" fascinates and engages her for several hours at a time, and the heavy paper should last for many reuses. I'm definitely picking up a few more!

Great for dementia patients but also for small children.No mess, easy to "paint" dried clean and ready to use again. Two brushes so it can be a group activity. I know there are similar brushes available, so you could have a family painting night. The dementia patient or small child would feel totally included.Mom loves it.

I bought this for my grandma whom has had dementia for about 10 years. Recently she has gotten worse and now no longer remembers who anyone is. She's gotten to the point that she remembers that she has kids and she remembers their names, but she doesn't recognize them. We found that it is best to do activities with her that are easy, but help her not to think about the fact she can't remember anyone. This set was great. The main problem with it is that the brushes are horrible. I would suggest using a cup of water and a thicker paint brush. Or investing in some better water brushes. The pictures are beautiful. My grandma will "paint" and she will like doing it. But then she forgets about them, so they are new to her again. It's sad, but it's nice that there is something like this for someone who does not have the mobility to really paint anything, but also makes them feel like they are creating something, then you can reuse them over and over again. I would really recommend this to someone that is having a hard time keeping a loved one busy, that forgets very quickly. Unfortunately it's a sad reason to need this, but it does help those family members or friends that are trying to entertain their dementia patient loved one.

Very entertaining. The “water brushes” slowly reveal the color and the image started fading before we finished the entire paper. So we found paint brushes that would hold more water and cover more area, and the images were much more satisfying in that manner. Also, they held their color to be admired for a longer period of time. This was an enjoyable activity.

My mom’s memory care unit loves these and she can continue to reuse them with minimal mess. Water is way easier to clean than paint
