This was great this Christmas when I used it to plug in my Christmas tree. I only had to switch off that one plug to turn off the Christmas tree lights.I have all my media equipment plugged into this. I can just turn the one plug off. It is very handy.And this can sit on a table or you can hang it on a wall or an entertainment center with the screws it comes with.

Perfect for my application

I have had 12 amps on this for 2 months now. It works perfect. I rarely use the switches but it does work anytime I have.The real thing here is that this feels industrial in comparison to similar units. It just looks like it could take a few beatings. So far I have no had a single issue with power or ground loops. There isn't much of a way to test the surge portion, but if anything comes up I will report back here.

As advertised

I purchased this item on a half-price sale for $24.99 instead of the about $50 and I can definitely see why. All of the skeptical reviews are absolutely true. This item does not fit in a 1U portion of a rack and even screwing in the rabbit ears you're only provided pointy screws that only cut new grooves with an un-standardly-shaped screw bit.Would recommend for anyone to get something that is not this cheap. Sometimes it would payoff, but apparently at $50 for full price, this thing is disastrous. :(

I like the power strip but one outlet does not work

One outlet doesn't work. Switch light comes on but outlet doesn't.
