Tasty
This is slightly more expensive than some products but it is sooo good. Useful in many ways but just straight out of the jar, it is delicious

Terrific!
Tonnino is one of my favorite jarred/tinned fish brands out there. When I discovered they carry SALMON in their fleet, I IMMEDIATELY ordered without thinking twice (it also just so happened to be on sale thanks to Amazon Prime Day). While I am known as the Salmon Queen, I’m not a HUGE fan of wild caught salmon so I was expecting dry, bland and boring salmon… But being packed in olive oil is a turn on for me as I only buy jarred/tinned fish if it’s in olive oil.The day I got my order, I popped open a jar and devoured the whole things with a smile on my face! It’s fantastic! I highly recommend it… Even though it has a steep price tag. The olive oil helps lube up the generally less fatty wild salmon perfectly! I actually like dumping the contents of the jar into a warm skillet and heating it up.

Tasty Gourmet Salmon Filets
This is a six-pack of jarred salmon filets. Each jar contains 180 grams of product. (If, like me, you’re an American who sucks at math, I’ll just mention here that you’ll get a little more than six ounces of salmon in each jar, for a total of just over two pounds of salmon.) These are filets, so, naturally, they have been deboned, but also… the skin has been removed. Speaking of math, these filets carry a premium price. I’ll leave it to you to divide the total price by the number of jars or ounces, so you can figure out whether this is something you’d like to have instead of tuna. For me, as good as they are, this will remain a special treat. You’re getting the finest of the finest silver salmon here, loin filets, and they are mighty tasty, packaged in flavorful olive oil, with just a hint of rosemary and smoke. I suspect the “smoke” comes from the “smoke flavor” listed on the ingredients, and I sure do wish I knew what chemicals or additives I was ingesting. That’s because this is, in all other respects, a very pure product, with only five other ingredients. Sourced and packaged in Costa Rica, the company offers a fun and interactive feature on its website which allows you to trace the origin of your fish… down to the name of the captain of the vessel on which it was caught! Just enter the code you find on the bottom of the jar. (Unfortunately, they’ve printed that code in grey or white ink and it appears against the light-colored salmon, so it’s virtually impossible to read. I was able to get my code from an empty jar, but despite entering it a number of times on the site, it repeatedly said my “lot number does not exist.”)The filets are jam-packed in their jars and that makes removing them extraordinarily difficult. Even using cooking tweezers, my filets were a pile of mush once I got them out of the jar. And that’s a shame. With a premium ingredient like this, I’d like the option of doing something with them other than just making them into salmon salad. But maybe that’s what you’re supposed to do… Tonnino recommends you use these filets as an “alternative to tuna.” If so, I wouldn’t do much with them; they are already soaked in oil. Just mash them up some more and spread the whole shebang on a high-quality multigrain bread and add a slice of tomato and some lettuce. Maybe drizzle a little lemon before serving.

Disappointed
Unfortunately, I was disappointed with this product. Tasteless, inferior quality and expensive for the product.

Love this!
I bought this 2 months ago at $56, now it’s $84. I love this to get protein in a pinch but for $84?! I now have to stick to tuna. Thanks Bidenomics!
