Fits perfect in my Yakitori grill
Bought this for use in my Bincho Yakitori grill and it fits perfectly and lasts longer than other natural coals I’ve tried. The shape of the briquettes make it really easy to maintain a consistent and even heat source so you don’t end up with cold/hot spots. I don’t think I’ll be using anything other than Nomad coal moving forward.

Burns long and hot
This stuff heats up nicely and burns MUCH longer than my traditional lump charcoal. Quite impressed!!

Long lasting charcoal.
This is great charcoal, but it is extremely hard and doesn't light easily. I think it's better to stand the sticks in a teepee form with a lot of paper beneath it in the chimney. It came with three little fiber starters but it wasn't enough.

No Chemical Odor
New concept but works like a charm. Long lasting and no chemical odor. Great price.

Don’t waste your money.
Don’t waste your money on these charcoals. They burnt out fast and do not produce as much heat as the other Thaan charcoal on Amazon.

Used for Yakitori party
The media could not be loaded. No complaints on this product. We used these for a backyard summer time yakitori party. We used a 'rapid charcoal chimney' starter on a traditional grill first then placed these into the yakitori grills we had. Heat lasted for 2 hours. Enough to cook 5 lbs of beef skewers and 2 lbs of chicken thighs on skewers.

Acceptable budget charcoal
Issues:The product is very inconsistent with it's density, some of them catch much sooner than others and some of them burn much shorter than others.I didn't not temp them with a heat gun but they didn't appear to burn any hotter than hardwood charcoal. My experience:I heated them in a chimney with all natural fire starters (Of which 3 are included) It took approximately a half hour and 8 fire starters before all 9 of them were ready. This is expected as with this type of charcoal is usually lit with a chimney over a propane or butane stove for similar amounts of timeConclusionMost of them were still hot enough to cook something at low heat after 4 and a half hours. They do not smoke and they burn pretty clean. I did not try reusing them this time, but feel confident they could be reused after being doused or smothered.
