A friend bought my daughter the Step 2 Waterwheel Play Table when she turned 2, and we've had lots of fun with it. But now at almost 5, my daughter needed a play table this summer that was a little more involved, particularly because we have been home bound with the pandemic. She also really wanted a sandbox—and I am not a fan of sand. The solution: Step 2's Fiesta Cruise Sand and Water Table!This really is a delightful play table that keeps my daughter engaged and satisfies her desire to play with water and sand. The cruise ship theme is fun and basic enough for my daughter to understand: there's a captain, a crew member, a bather, and a diver. The funnel doubles as a sand scoop and "castle" maker. I like the cruise ship lid, and it does a good job of protecting the sand from animals and thunderstorms. The whole table is a decent size, and it is quite sturdy. My 1-year-old likes to hold onto the table while bobbing himself up and down, splash the water, and watch his older sister play. I have no worries about him tipping over the table.My only criticisms are (1) because some sand invariably makes it way into the water side, I wish the latter had a sloped basin (rather than flat) so that I could easily wash the sand down the drain plug, and (2) the slide and spring board do not stay in place.In contrast with other reviews, I actually like that the water slide is removable. At times we have used it in our paddle pool or we have substituted the water wheel from our other Step 2 table.We are very happy with this purchase!

Hours of fun . I purchased for my 3 yr old grandson's birthday . The past month has been filled with hours of fun playtime on the deck . He loves the boat & umbrella theme & loves to pop the people off the diving board & go down the slide . He also loves the rain shower feature. It is a very sturdy quality toy which is not too heavy to tilt even with the sand in it to clean the water side. Drains well with the plug on the water side . Plenty of space for 4 children to play around it & it is easy to store or move to anyplace you desire. Since ours is on a second level deck I had concerns after putting sand in I would not be able to move. This is not the case. Comes with plenty of toys inside for hours of play!

Great for grandchild to enjoy during spring or summer! Sand & Water fun with lid when sand not in use. Love having the umbrella for shade. Quality, Style, & loads of fun!

I love love love this product! I bought I for my 3 and 2 year old grandsons. We have it on our front porch at the moment to keep them out of the direct sun( hot in Florida) but I sit in a chair beside it and we play for hours in this thing. Both boys love the outdoors so it’s great! It has theses plugs at the bottom to empty out the water which makes it so easy. Very well made.

Got this for my 3 children (6,4,&1) it’s plenty big enough for all of them to play together and not too tall my 1 year old can’t reach but not too short she can climb on it. Haven’t even put water in it and they are already entertaining themselves with it. Now will all that being said while screwing the big slide the plastic cracked before I even tightened it down so that was disappointing as well as the small slide doesn’t sit into place. For the price and everything that comes with this water/sand table it’s honestly worth every penny. As for assembly it was really easy just have to put some weight behind getting the screws started then you are golden. Also want to add none of this feels like flimsy plastic. Can’t wait to fill this up and let my kids go to town.

I bought this a couple months ago for my autistic son's 9th birthday. He is extremely hyper and destructive, and hasn't managed to mark this thing yet. He absolutely loves umbrellas, so that piece was a huge deal to him. He is about 4'3" and 60 pounds for size reference. He likes to sit in the "pool" part, even though he doesn't fit, and before I kick him out, I've watched the legs of it to see if they shift at all. Nothing. It is extremely solidly built. The only thing I can say against it is that the assembly screws are a little tough to get into place since the holes aren't pre-drilled. I just used a cordless drill and slowly got them through the plastic.I do recommend either assembling this before your kid sees it or having another adult available to hold them back while you get it put together. Apparently my son can read assembly instructions faster than me. He kept yanking pieces out of my hands and handing me the right ones, sighing, and pointing to the next steps. The instructions are very clear. I didn't need his help. I suppose this is what having a teenager is going to be like... Anyway, once it was put together, he loved it and played with nothing else for a good 2 hours at least. I can't wait until the weather warms up enough to actually move it outside and put sand and water in it.
