My first disappointment was that the ring shipped was the 2301A model. On the direct JCRING website, they list the 2301B model, which includes the blood glucose monitoring feature. This was not a big deal since I'm not diabetic, but it is also 60 dollars cheaper directly from their website. I went with Amazon still because of customer support, and it was also on sale, bringing the price down from normal.Once I got it out of the box and the app downloaded, I went through the initial setup and had some trouble connecting. Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, location, and permissions were all set up with whatever it wanted. The app still had to search several times before finally locating the ring to add. Once added, I set up the basic personal settings and just wore the ring for a while.I opened the app a few times to check in on how monitoring was going and every time you open the app, it needs to reconnect. This is incredibly hit or miss, leaning heavily toward the miss side. If the ring doesn't connect, it doesn't sync the data and is basically useless. This morning, it connected once, synced sleep data, and then never again despite having tried many times. I even unpaired and tried to pair it again.I submitted a support ticket and will update if anything new happens.I can't comment on the tracking features because I've spent more time fighting to get it to connect than have seen any actual data coming from it.
