Solidly built, very stable
Big. Sturdy. Well made. Definitely worth buying, only caveat is it is neither lightweight, nor small, and not particularly well suited for travel, but it isn't exactly designed to be so that's not really its fault.

Unit Defective - Middle section won't stay extended when "locked"
I wanted to like this but unit won't stay in extended position and had to return.

The monopod isn’t staying lock and it’s fully twisted to capacity
The media could not be loaded. So I got this Monopod like 2 months ago and now it is staying lock I only use it twice a week and it is indoor this was a waste of my money it is expensive but it didn’t last very unsatisfied

Upgraded from older model
Having used the originals for almost a decade, I thought I'd upgrade for easier height adjustment. Ok, so out of the box, the build quality feels good, functions well with no issues I can tell. Quicklock is pretty good although I dislike the friction ball at the base of the unit, i rarely need it other than level and can see this will be a constant thing where the older locked in, but i'll give it a chance. That said, the height adjustment is indeed a bit easier which is something i do a dozen times a day so it's worth it for me. The unit itself is larger and heavier than the older version but I don't mind but it might be an issue traveling. Hopefully this will give another decade of use.

Always check if sections will hold and tighten and test it.
Good design concept. On the hewvier side. Last section failed to tighten after 2 days. Luckily my $10 G gears wasn't on it. Tried to fix it but decided to return it. I'm a long time Sirui monopod user.

Can't order a spare part.
Purchased a Sirui ball head to put on the assembly mount. Now the blue button to release the ball head from the assembly won't work. Can press it in to release. Customer Support can't be reached. Thought about purchasing another assembly head but finding it as a spare part is impossible. If you lose it good luck finding a replacement.
