Sturdy box files for a reasonable price
After needing to find something from my bureau this weekend, I decided I had finally had enough of my mismatched magazine files which I was using for my filing purposes.I decided to have a browse of Amazon, quite optimistically, and was horrified at the price of the box files.I then stumbled across these, at just under £14 for 25 and decided that although they aren’t the prettiest looking of files, they at least match and being as they are behind some doors and will only ever been seen if I’m using them, I can live with that. So, they arrive in a large box as they are flat packed. I pulled one out and it took me the whole of about 20 seconds to put one together. I had constructed 10 in a matter of minutes and armed with my label maker, was ready to tackle the archiving that is so overdue. These open at the end, and close via a flap which slides into the side of the box (see photos). I can just about get some of our A4 folders in them, so depending on the size of the folder or envelope, you might be able to keep things in those and not need to remove everything (depending on what you are filing of course. They seem quite sturdy and light weight, but like anything of this nature, I think these are designed for storage rather than daily use as the cardboard flap will start to bend and come apart with regular use, but for the occasional use (such as adding an MOT certificate, annual policy documents or statements) they should hold up for a while. I guess I could strengthen them with a bit of tape once they look a bit worn on the flap, but we’ll see how they go.So far, so good. Quite happy with them and they do the job for which they were intended.IF YOU FOUND MY REVIEW HELPFUL please hit the button below. This encourages me to keep writing reviews as then I know people are reading them and finding them of use. Many thanks for your time.

Sturdy and easy to assemble!
Really easy to assemble and able to hold quite a lot! Only downside is twenty-five cartons is a lot to get in one purchase if it's just for personal use, so it'd be nice if there were options for smaller batches. Still, for the price you pay, it's well worth it!

Perfect for Archiving
Purchased these to archive various paperwork into the loft and out of the way. I was looking for something mid-range to ensure the contents were kept safe but didn't want or need to spend extra money on plastics tubs. Looked at the reviews and took the plunge - 25 for less than £20, couldn't be that bad...Perfect for my archiving needs and easy to assemble. Sturdy enough to carry handfuls of paper and even folded newspapers. The flap that closes each box could have potential to become a little flimsy but only if you have a heavy hand. Don't be rough, this is only cardboard after all, and they should last you a while.

A cost effective solution for papers A4 or less
Very useful and cost effective storage boxes. Have been really useful for me in categorising papers for storage and future reference. Takes a few minutes to work out how to make them up. the instructions are not clear but once you work it out, they are easily put together. They do exactly what you need them to do . They are not foolscap size so don't assume they will take stuff bigger than A4.

Good design but small
Works well for archiving. Boxes are easy to make up from the flat cardboard sheets. Would be less suitable for storing stuff that needs to be accessed frequently, as one really needs a proper box with a catch closure for this, rather than just a cardboard flap.Biggest issue is that the size is only just large enough to store A4 paper sheets. Documents housed in A4 envelopes don't fit well.

Excellent easy to assemble
Exactly what I needed to sort out office files that need keeping that we had in paper files that were splitting and falling apart

Great for magazines
I have several hundred Doctor Who magazines in various sizes. I was using boxfiles which were much larger than the magazines themselves, wasting shelf space. These, however, are just right - everything's fitting neatly, and I've got everything on one shelf instead of two, freeing space for other things.I don't have much else to add except to confirm that they seem slightly perplexing to fold into shape at first but one soon gets the hang of it and they become quick to fold as and when you need one. They don't seem sturdy enough for repeated opening-and-closing or moving around, but if you're essentially archiving something - not necessarily paper based - then these'll do just fine. And then recycle 'em easily once done with or worn out. Excellent value for money.

Good quality, perfect for smaller shelving and easy to assemble
These were exactly what I was looking for, all the boxes I had seen before were foolscap size which would not fit on my shelf however these are A4 size and therefore fit my documents exactly and also fit on my shelf. They are very good quality cardboard and good value for money. Once I had got the hang of it (after the first 3-4 boxes) they were very easy to put together along the pre-scored lines. I have been using them as storage boxes with occasional access to the contents and so far the tabs/ closures have not become damaged despite me using them not for their intended purpose (i.e. archive boxes designed to be very rarely accessed).
