Absolutely love this! The reason it is so much better than a normal cheap neck fan is because this one has a metal plate that get freezing cold on my neck to keep me cool. It was a hot summer and I would have been a bit more miserable from heat if I didn’t have this product. It’s perfect for people like me that overheat too easily!

I got this neck fan to help keep me cool while I'm outside gardening. I would say that the fans are great and do a good job of blowing air all around the head with the 6 air outlets. The air speed is impressive, and I like that it blows at the sides and back of the head. It is quieter than other neck fans that I have used.However, in my case the coldest part of the cooling plates do not really touch my neck, so they are not very useful. For reference, my neck is 13.5 inches in circumference. I also found that when using the cooling plates, the air coming out of the side air outlets is slightly warmer since the air is passing over the hot side of the thermo-electric coolers.I tested the battery life, and found the following results:In fan-only mode, at the lowest speed, the fan lasted an amazing 13.5 hours, exceeding the advertised 8 hours.With the fan on the max setting and cooling plates on max setting, it lasted 70 minutes, falling short of the advertised 3 hours.Using a 5V 2A charger, it took about 3 hours to charge from 0% to 100%.Using a thermometer, I found that the cooling plates got down to 59° F at the coldest spot near the center of the plate with the max cold setting. This was in an indoor setting.Pros:-Unlike many other neck fans, it can be used while charging (but without the cooling plates)-Great battery life in fan-only mode-Fairly quiet at the lowest and medium speed-Lots of options for fan speed and cooling intensityCons:-If you have a small neck, the cooling plates likely will not land in the correct spot to provide cooling-Poor battery life when using cooling plates and fan on max settings-Instructions state that it should not be used in direct sun, which is odd for a personal cooling device that will primarily be used outdoors-Slow charging timeAll in all, I would say this would be a good option if you have a thicker neck. Otherwise, it may not provide the level of cooling you're looking for. It's a shame, because the fans are excellent and the cooling plates do get quite cold in the center.

Elderly father loves it!, he can now go for his walks year round. Bought in May and now mid September so it's holding up well. Great price to.

I really wanted to like this neck fan, but unfortunately it falls short. I even ordered it twice to make sure my first unit wasn't broken. The first unit had a bad fan noise, like something was caught in it causing it to crackle. The crackling would often stop after it ran for a minute. The second unit had significantly less fan crackling.But while the cold plates look big, the cold only emanates out of a very specific location (circled in red in my picture). And this location doesn't actually touch your neck unless it's really huge. As such, the part of the cold plate that does touch your neck isn't actually that cold.If they could actually make the cold plates effective, this would be a great value because:1. Build quality is otherwise good (outside of possibly defective fan on my first unit)2. Fans are relatively quiet (I measured 56 db on low using my phone)3. Fan air volume is good and well-placedFWW, I tried 5 other cooling neck fans under $100 and this was one of the best for construction quality, fan noise, and fan output. It's just a shame the cooling plates aren't more effective.

Works well for the price paid. If you want longer battery life or a little more cooling probably best to spend a little more money but if you're trying to save this is definitely the one to get.

For the price of this, I was really hoping it would work better. The AC unit is just negligible. I have $20 units that the fans below better on. Returned and bought a new one that was half the price and so far it’s working 10 times better. Oh, and this is ridiculously heavy on your neck!
