I was nervous purchasing this after reading some negative reviews.. but I’m glad I did! It was a gift to my fiance and he loves it. Even without a subscription, it’s easy to use. We didn’t have any issues with setting it up or the phone blocking the target. It works exactly as described and is a nice way to get more practice in when you can’t make it to the range. Plus, it saves a LOT on ammo!

This Strikeman Marksman Kit is a game-changer! It’s an excellent tool for dry-fire training, providing accurate feedback and making practice sessions more engaging. I really wanted to like this, and the concept seemed cool. I was looking for dry fire practice and for something that offered feedback. Tried this for over a month and it is not worth it. Save yourself money and practice old school dry fire or just use a laser cartridge.The construction is very flimsy and I find myself constantly adjusting the Cellphone stand. The calibration mode is unpredictable and is not consistent. This can be very frustrating.The application itself is horrible. You can save specific modes but it requires constant attention and having to use your cellphone is a pain in the butt, and you are constantly having to calibrate. “Auto calibrate” hadn’t worked once and it’s been over a month.I will just say this.After you’ve spent minutes setting up the training you want and you finally get into position to start dry firing, the app starts firing off rounds while your pistol is still in the holster. Not because the cartridge is being struck, but because the calibration and app don’t work.This goes from possible good training to infuriating sessions of wanting to fire actual rounds through your roof. Save yourself money and stress. Not worth it.

If you bought this as a training aid, this is to train for rapid draw, grip, presentation, acquiring sight picture, first shot on-target placement, and smooth trigger pulls. For those purposes, this performs very well and after a few sessions i saw noticeable improvement in those areas. It is not to train for competition accuracy. The laser cartridge is close, but half a millimeter off in the barrel can translate into inches off at 25 yards. At that distance it's still on target, but is not true. You'll need to be aware to count grouping consistency over what the target registers as accurate shot placement- if you have a tightgroup but it's offset then it's highly possible the equipment is the problem. Because of this, you should also not use this to zero a pistol red dot. I found forums with reviews that matched my particular problem, on glock 22 gen 4 .40 cals, it seems the laser shot placements are consistently high and right by 3 inches for these models. After some trial and error, i found that a 3mm wide strip of electrical tape placed along the full length of the cartridge, and then putting the cartridge in with the strip at the 2 o'clock position when inserting into the barrel made the laser accurate to my red dot dead rest zero within 1 inch at 20 yards. Overall id give it 5 stars but took one off for hit registration and inability to adjust the laser. Seems like every few sessions the app glitches and wont see any hits, resetting the session seems to fix this for a little while. Free version of the app is enough to get some quality dry fire training and good features. Remember not to get into the bad habit of racking the slide after every shot, stay on target, scan and assess before going for the next shot.

I was not sure about this at first, after researching and comparing others - this is the one I picked and I am glad I did. Easy and convenient right in my living room. Highly recommended!

I ordered the 9mm Strikeman piece apprehensively as most training, dry fire products have been disappointing. I have used the kit now a 4 or 5 times and will say it is fantastic in working through drills requiring sight picture acquisition and memory drills. This is a great addition and alternative to live fire and makes for a great muscle memory tool. I will most likely buy the .45 version as well to try to dial in my 1911 familiarity. I am obviously a huge advocate of live fire training but this is a fantastic resource tool to increase your effectiveness and efficiency in the comfort of your own home. The package comes packaged with everything ready to set up and start training. It’s fantastic to have companies that have aligned with gun owners and advocates. I will be buying more from Strikeman in the near future. Looking forward to hitting the real range, hopefully my at home efforts will benefit my live fire drills.

Great concept, case etc is nice but tripod is cheaply made. Barely stands up with the weight of my phone. Definitely not worth the money. I would buy it if it were better made. Very disappointed!
