100A MPPT Solar Charge Controller 12V 24V 36V 48V LCD Display Battery Intelligent Regulator Max 100V Input Dual USB for Lead-Acid/Lithium (100A)

After three months of installation, they operate with no problems, even in the shade of Arizona's heat. I ordered them because they have the larger screw in ports for the 10 or 12 gauge wire, solid body, good heat escape fins on the back, and an easy-to-use button. And most of all, I run 3-- 20-amp 12-volt system, so I buy equipment that will handle at least twice the load I put on it, instead of like my neighbor, who underbuys and burns his crap out. Everything is excellent about them.

Terrible circuit design. The controller is powered from the battery side, not the solar panel side. This means that if your batteries go dean overnight, when the sun comes up IT DOES NOT WORK.It's a complete pain to use. You have to use a separate battery charger to get it started, completely defeating the purpose of solar power. Do not use anywhere that you can't charge the batteries from the grid or another generator.

For the price. You cannot go wrong. I had rated this item lower. But after realizing this charger is compatible with 12 to 48 volt batteries, I had to change my rating. The more expensive controllers aren't as compatible. DIY perfect. Specially on a budget. It works for the ranges listed. I went from 12v to 48v system with this controller. No issues. Found out the hard way when I tried to do the same with a more expensive controller and they just don't have the compatibility. That controller is a paper weight now. This controller saved my day.

Got 100A model, 4 stars only because the clock is a joke it will not be accurate for more than a day. The device has capacity for wire 6 awg for sure, I will be using 40+ A soon right now 30A 24V working good, wire 8 awg. The display has a changing display and having V, A, W and Temperature is great, without having to press buttons as others is very good design. I got this one after trying to work with other brands that claim 100A, none of them worked at 30A ,they only fit 10 awg, for 100A that is far from true. They all overheated at 30A, and the LiFePO4 where impossible to set, they all tried to trickle charge or something, that did not worked, all the manuals you know are not very easy to use. But I have to say if you want one that works at more than 25A this is it. The MPPT is somewhat an approximation and the efficiency is not that good, I will continue to do testing to improve efficiency as I have 8 LiFePO4 12.8V 100AH batteries (really 13.3V when full), set in series (2) parallel (4)

Ok I don’t mind these for what I am doing. A pain in the butt to program. No Instructions manual came with two different controllers which made it hard. They are in china and you can there support. No direct communications. Don’t use these on large systems.

This model is large enough for my panel array, it's my first mppt controller to see what the buzz is about. I hope for better harvesting of solar power off grid.

The size was bigger than expected from photos but it was a happy thing to find full sized screws and large holes to put in pretty big sized wires. Not sure of size. Screen is a little small but tells the tale. Easy information update with no confusion. My amateur wannabe engineer says put washers or just strips of metal where mounting holes are so no breakage in hard conditions. The case seems brittle plastic instead of forgiving but for price, especially if wattage and electronics are good inside, is a real treat. Happy to have bought it. Others reviewed it okay. One one is better.
