The tablet is great
Some basics:This tablet will start to overheat if you're driving directly into the sun on a very hot day, but it does so slower and recovers much faster than your phone in the same situation. For what it is, this tablet does have great little speakers for watching TV or movies. The tablet does not have it's own battery, you will need to keep it plugged in at all times; meaning that if you plan on taking it with you as a mobile accessory, you will need a power bank that recognizes it.The tablet does not connect to your car for you, it connects to your phone which connects to your car. You cannot sync this to your cars Bluetooth, just FYI.-Pros:Unbeatable price point.Works flawlessly. You will probably need to press the "use original audio" button on it if you're connecting via Bluetooth, again, just FYI.Touch screen is very responsive.Customer support is incredible.-Cons:You may realize it's a little small for your tastes after you've installed it. The ladies know what I'm talking about... Alright. The stand that currently comes with the tablet is not great. It requires you use an adhesive to attach it to your dash board, meaning that once you've got it in place, it's there. I thought I had it where I liked it, but it certainly could have been placed better if I've driven around before installing it.My stand is also warped and doesn't hold the tablet well. Plimpton customer service immediately offered to replace it. When they realized they were out of the suction cup stands, they sent me a $15 gift card and a link to a competitors suction cup bracket... That's pretty dedicated. All things considered, for sub $70, you simply cannot do better. If you want a navigation screen and the Android Auto bells and whistles without the $2000 upgrade costs on a new car stereo (I make plenty, I love my PAID OFF 2008 edge), this is the peripheral for you... maybe... as long as you don't think you'd like a larger screen, which is the only real caveat.

A great deal on a great product.
My parents gave my nephew their old car with no GPS. He’s a modern kid who has no sense of direction. He was used to car play in my car (I taught him to drive) so I bought this for our trip to drive his grandparents’ car back from FL. It worked great!I had my doubts but it connected easily. I used a magnetic car vent mounting device which worked very well.We connected the audio through the FM transmitter. Sure we had to adjust it a bunch of times as we drive from FL to Michigan but it was easy and we almost always found a great connection with little effort.Since that trip he has continued to use it with no problems. It connections flawlessly and quickly via wireless CarPlay (and Android Auto) something I can’t even do in my newish Lincoln.Definitely worth the low cost. Don’t think twice if you think you need this, just buy it.

Got what I paid for
Update: The attachment to plug in the car has broken. Im honestly pretty disappointed this did not last long at all.Setting it up was pretty easy. It’s nice for the most part. However this week I’ve been bumping into a few problems it disconnected from my phone as if it had never been connected before. I basically had to set it back up. Twice this morning it has been randomly disconnecting, and not like before it’s acting like it’s been unplugged from the port.On a scale 1-10 I’d probably give it a 7.5 it does what it’s supposed to do. There’s a lag with skipping music. When using the GPS it’s also lagged on me a few times and that’s never happened with my phone. It’s not too bad honestly, I just don’t see myself using this long term, I’ll probably replace it. (not anytime soon just in the future)

So Easy to Setup
I have an older Acura RDX. I was dismayed I could not replace the factory stereo with an aftermarket one that has CarPlay. I did this in a much older Honda CRV I drove before the RDX and was missing my CarPlay.I tried other portable auto stereos and dongles but they were buggy and nuisances plagued with connectivity and mounting issues. I was reluctant to purchase the plimpton unit initially because of issues with the other units I tried. The plimpton stereo works for me. The 7’ size is perfect to sit on the ledge of the Acura’s infotainment center. It does block the car’s backup camera screen but I don’t mind it. I have an hour commute one way and I prefer the safety of CarPlay to the backup camera.Setup was easy. I plugged in the unit and paired it to my iPhone 13 ProMax and just clicked on CarPlay on the device. It automatically reconnects when the car is turned on. The sound plays via my car’s Bluetooth. My apps work great - Spotify, Libby Books, Audible, Hoopla Books, Waze, Messages, Phone. The screen is responsive. There is some glare but I expect it based on where it sits.I have not tried the mirror function.

Works great but always powered on
This was a nice upgrade for my 2002 Trans Am as i did not want to replace the stock radio. Connected with the transmitting radio station with zero problems. The only issue i had with this is that it is powered by the cigarette lighter which is always on with some cars. This meant I had to unplug and replug it in every time I drove which became a hassle. No longer have the vehicles but the product worked great.

Not bad for the price... But...
The audio for GPS cuts off if you get a phone call while using it. I have yet to figure out how to get it back once that happens other than turn off my car for about 15 mins. (5 mins doesn't cut it. ) It was easy to install and set up. The screen is of good size. I drive for Uber, so it's very helpful. Better than looking at my phone screen.
