A cute painting
This cute kitten painting by numbers comes already attached to the frame so makes painting that bit easier. The kittens are well numbered, and the small pots of paint have the corresponding number on the pot lid.It comes with two paint brushes of different sizes for large and small details. We gave this to our granddaughter to do as she loves kittens, and is at the age where she enjoys colouring/painting in more detail. It comes with small Velcro dots that can be attached for hanging on her wall when she has finished her masterpiece. At £8.99 at the time of writing this review, this is a good buy, and for it to be a framed canvas makes it a bargain.

Good product, looks fun
These are great, they are on frames so you don't need to worry about framing them after. Looking forward to working on these.

Bad paint
Some of the paint pots were great and some were too dry and unusable. I tried adding water, but it just became clumpy, like scrambled eggs. I had to change the designs a bit due to not enough paint or paint too dry/clumpy to use. Some of the paint was perfect and the pictures are very nice to paint.

BE CAREFUL WITH THIS PRODUCT!
The paint doesn’t wash off!I bought 3 sets of this type and 1 set with Spider-Man, so we had 16 canvas in total. It was for the birthday party.Kids had great fun and it could have been a very good activity, if not the permanent paint.I’ve noticed that some of the paint was washing off fine, but others was like a paint you would use to paint your walls! It has ruined kids clothes - doesn’t come off even with stain removal. It has ruined our beautiful wooden rustic table. The kids had to soak in bath for a very long time and get a strong scrub to get the paint off their skin. For some items we used acetone which has helped but you can’t use acetone on everything.Basically, a total disaster!I’ve been buying kids paints for 7 years now, all paint washes off because it is intended for kids! And yes, we did cover our table and kids and everything we could, but accidents happen, therefore kids paint is normally wash-off. Not this one!

Nice set but small areas to paint
We have the Marvel-02 set and it looks great. Generous amount of paint included and there's a good choice of hues so you do get a more gradual shading. I had enough paint to paint right around the edge of the canvas so it looks really good. The set comes in plastic all together in one bundle but each canvas has a little picture of what it should look like, the set of paints and two paintbrushes. There was also some hook & loop and little brass coloured loops, so you can hang the canvas in a variety of ways. The only downside (and it might be also to do with the set we've got) is some areas are very small to paint and it's a bit tricky to see some of the numbers on these small areas. I've kind of winged it a bit. My 9yo has found it quite hard to paint these as it's pretty fiddly. My husband found it easier, but he's really arty so he went a bit freestyle. Some of the characters have a black line around, we're going to do that with a permanent marker rather than try to paint it.However for the price, they're great value and I'd definitely consider purchasing the other styles with larger block colour areas.

Intimidating for younger children
The product listing suggests this is for 9-12 year olds, so I gave it to my 9 year old daughter to do and she found it very intimidating because the spaces to paint in are so tiny and she thought it would take her months to do. So this is probably better for the older end of that spectrum. In fact I think teenagers and adults would probably relish the challenge more and that it is probably too difficult for 9/10 year olds unless they are really in to paint by numbers and have worked up to this difficulty level. However, she did think the picture was really cute. The canvas comes prestretched on a wooden frame, so there is no creasing in transit. Incomes with two paintbrushes and clearly numbered pots of paint and sticky dots in case you wish to display it stuck to something rather than hanging. The picture in the listing where this in hanging on the wall above the sofa makes it look like a huge canvas but actually it’s nearer to A4 size.
